I think what happened at 43:15 is the cue ball just barely grazed the 4 before hitting the 9. If you go frame by frame at the moment the cue ball makes contact, that's what it looks like, to me at least

As long as they pocket the object ball..it's crazy to kill the shot just because it touched another ball on the way. I would change it to ten balls to win a game, and let them do combination shots..it would be a LOT more interesting to watch on TV!!

To me a kiss shot is: hitting said ball with cue than the cue hits the said ball again into called pocket. If a said ball hits off ball than it is not a kiss but a simple foul. Different parts of the world.

Pretty sure they called that last shot on the 9 wrong. It definitely played off the 4 before the cue ball hit it.

He hit the 9 first but it (the 9 ball) just touched off the 4 right away, you can see it move before the cue ball comes back to hit it. To answer your question, if it had glanced off the 4 ball first it would have been a foul, you have to hit your object ball before any other ball.

It hit the 4 and moved it before the que ball hit it after so it shouldn’t have counted umm a huge fan of both players but it technically shouldn’t have counted

@@raskolnjikov1 Watched it a few times in slow mo, looked to me like he hits the 9 first which immediately kisses off the 4 and makes it move before the cue ball comes back and hits it off the end rail. Either way not a legal shot, nobody called anything, and Thorpe got the win so all good! Have a good day my man, keep watching good pool!

Rules are fairly simple actually! Banks have to be called (needs to be ball, number of rails being banked and pocket). They also need a clean hit. It can't be a kiss or a carom. Any ball that was pocketed and not called is immediately spotted. Off the break, any balls that are pocketed stay off the table until the shooters turn passes! First player to make 5 balls wins!
