Man this song is with me forever rest of LIFE!... For some reason it makes me think of someone that I knew well that person gave me very bad ptsd where almost everyday plays in my head over and over... He even says it in the verse "wishes I can just feel something like robotic. No matter what I do I can never escape it literally follows me!! This song in a way makes me live my life to the fullest it helps me SURVIVE!

I'm 12 and I don't drink, do drugs, or smoke. despite that I still cant feel anything. mostly emotions are my problem, but I've seen doctors for so many tests that I'm almost entirely numb to the pain. I hate when people say that they wish they couldn't feel, I know it's hard but feeling nothing is torture. Its hard because no one understands, and my lack of emotion causes me to hurt those around me, leaving me all alone.

I love this song because it reaches out to me in a way that I think it reaches you, Yetagamer. I was addicted to opioids when I was 14 all the way through to about 18 years old. During that time I was emotionally broken, couldn't feel a damn thing other than sorrow. Sorrow for what I've become and sorrow for what I've done to my family for making them see what I had become. I was machine. But now I am human.

I've taken so many activities during the day just so I don't have time to feel anything but physical pain and tiredness. Otherwise my brain will not shut up and I can't go to sleep. And I know that if I stop I will reach for something like alcohol or worse. I shouldn't feel like this, I have done nothing bad, I've hurt no one. I help the people I know but even that doesn't make me feel much better when I come home. Honestly, I feel like I need to find a worthy cause to die for, because there's nothing that makes me feel alive anymore. 7 years of this hell and no respite or end in sight.

It's quite interesting that this song to you is about addiction. The band wrote it about how people go through the same routine every day/night and start to feel like they're not humans and how that has a numbing effect on you and you stop to feel and you want to but you feel like you're trapped in this routine. And yet to me speaks in entirely different way. I loved this song from the first time I heard it. I love TDG and their songs always have the power of moving you. I suggest you to also listen to "Painkiller" which is a song about addiction told from the pov of the vice your addicted to and "Fallen angel" a song of loss and wanting to be there for somebody who is struggling (these are from the new album).
