It’s always so sad to me because when you think about it, when each of these homes were built and then moved into, you know they were loved and meant so much at one time. 😭

I sometimes wonder all this beautiful furniture and mirrors... how does that get left behind, its vintage and so beautiful . I'm surprised people dont come get it.

At the beginning of the video, Steve, what you thought was a really old vacuum is actually a really old floor polisher which was no doubt used to polish the wood and/or tile floors.

Thanks Steve for sharing all of these adventures with abandoned places. This one is super sad and yes, it must have been so beautiful in it's prime.

I'm from Australia, originally from the US. I think the thing you call a vacuum is actually a floor polisher, we had one in the house I grew up in.

Such a gorgeous old home/mansion to just be left by the family, to be reclaimed by the earth. Its sad but also there must have been a reason why the family did what they did. Maybe after the man died, the family couldnt bear the thought of the house without him in it. Who knows. Thanks Steve for your coverage of this beautiful old mansion.

Looks like the “woven” art work is needlepoint or cross-stitch which is pretty common here in the US. It’s very nice and someone worked on it a while, but nothing unusual or of value.

If your going to explore old home nobody wants to look at slot of old photos that we don't know we want you to open the drawers and closets and don't care about the old wallpaper you spent to much time talking about stuff that 90% of people don't care about.

Hi :) I'm watching from the United (southern) States :) Throughout this video I find that standing shower @ 19:19 quite impressive :) "A nice sleeping bed & a good standing shower in a home is my most interest of all" So sad to see people enjoy their lives as if everything is all gold at one point and then just totally abandoned it over night :( 😞😢😮

Stunning mansion, high ceiling, every room look beautiful, all the bathroom looks beautiful and interesting , I wonder why the hallway to all the bedroom are so narrow , the furniture around the house including the bedroom are unique and interesting, sad to see all of this got abandoned include the dead cat need to be properly barely, maybe its was waiting for the owner forever, the pictures of the temple it is in Thailand, I can tell by the Thai language, maybe he did involve with construction of the temple back in the day ,thank you for sharing very interesting indeed

Steve, the attic looked dry, and I didn't notice any light coming through the few roof shots that you showed, which doesn't mean there isn't any. Some of those rooms were not original to the Chateau I wonder if the water problems are internal. The Chateau does appear to me to be salvageable but again I am not there. it's a beautiful home and it's sad to see these places give way to mother nature. Great job on the tour. Thanks for bringing us along. Love from N.Y.
