As a whole thru her discography, I guess someone new is my favorite, it's just so raw, and I'm a sucker for a good acoustic.

Your lyrical analysis of Banks is so far the best I've heard, the dynamic between the songs you noticed so effortlessly is amazing! Keep up the good work👏🤗

I feel like the storyline of this album starts at the end I see 'Till Now' as the point where she finally got over the relationship, and the last song paints her mindset hours or days after the breakup

Loved your reaction, it's really interesting the point of view that you have by been a songwriter as well, new subscriber. My favorite track so far is Contaminated, I just can't get this song out my head. I really would like to see your interpretation of the concept and the lyrics of the Electra Heart Album by Marina (& the diamonds)

I thoroughly enjoyed how you analyze and take the time to understand every piece of the track as a unit and form of delivery/expression. It's so refreshing to finally listen to someone really think about the message and production rather than just the standard "OHHH THAT PART HITS" or "yeah they're saying they feel frustrated or sad" (yeah that's obvious) I guess I'm just trying to say thanks for peeling back some layers of the art and justifying the fact that I'm not alone in latching onto a song/album for all of its encompassing elements. 👍

What a thoughtful review! The points you’ve highlighted in the lyrics give a whole another layer to this record. Love your vision and ability to connect the dots! Regarding my favorites from the album, I have the same mind blowing reaction to Gimme, Contaminated and The fall - these three are my III, I guess (:

Loved your analysis. Especially that you didn't let the production get in the way of your effort on the more distorted tracks. All the reaction video's I've watched kind of phoned it in on those until you. Maybe because of that, you're also the first person to pick up on narcissism's inherent (co)dependency and how that contributes to the multiplicity/depth of character that the other person sees (and others do not) which in turn contributes to their unwillingness to leave and stay away. Especially under the pressure of superficial platitudes and 'transactional' apologies. Your takes also gave me some insight into the end of the album which I originally felt was somewhat disconnected from the rest of the narrative (or at least my interpretation of it). And I totally cackled at your initial reaction to the last song. This was an impressively perceptive and thorough video. Subscribed.

another note: Godless was a song one of her exes wrote about her and he gave it to her and she finished it herself, also i interpreted Sawzall as her looking back on a relationship and not being aware of her partner's mental state and being oblivious to their depression and not reaching out to them. so the song is like an apology and she's asking for forgiveness which is why the outro is repeating " i gave you nothing i understand/i donate my love"

I really enjoy it! I think it nicely encapsulates a lot of Banks’s aesthetic and thematic interests, especially the way her lyrics explore the relationship between sex and power. I also like that the song is a bit sarcastic, because Banks is usually straightforwardly aggressive or sad.
