Banksticks the ones I use & why?

In response to the questions I got from the last video about the banksticks I use.
On normal ground or even heavy hard frozen ground I use the Gardner Twistik in 3ft & 4ft models. These extend out the legnth of themselves so the 3ft go to 6ft and the 4ft go to 8ft so if I'm wading out then I've long sticks to keep the rods secure. Unfortunately Gardner stopped making these banksticks the only negative thing I can say about these is they are heavy so they live in the van until they are needed.
The banksticks I use on wooden jetty are Cygnet banksticks. Cygnet make lightweight but strong banksticks they also make shoes that get screwed into the wooden jetty so your set up is rock solid.

Hi new to your channel glad I found it great video on a topic I am passionate about pike fishing I have been feasting on your video’s and love them well done I used to do a lot of pike fishing here in Northern Ireland up till 4 years ago when unfortunately my friend and fishing companion of 25 years passed away suddenly and I hung up my fishing gear from then hoping someday to get back into it but it’s hard when you are expecting someone to be there with you to share the fishing trip with are no longer there love watching your fishing trips and chat thanks for sharing got my support and new subscriber here cheers have a great weekend tight lines

Yes I am, question for you, you can address it whenever, do you ever trot for predators ? And deadbaits more suitable for sink and draw? These are my last resort, blank saver efforts that I use for the last hr.

I do use wobbled deadbaits buddy just not that often if I'm on the River then yes it's brilliant on the River

Loving the videos Dave I hope to get up to Lough Erne sometime soon I got myself a small inflatable with electric outboard for all the lakes that are up in Fermanagh can’t wait for it, I haven’t seen you fishing from a boat and I’m just wondering do you ever?

I do fish from boats mate it's just not that often. I have a sea nymph 16ft boat the plan is to re floor it and do it up.

I use 21ft scaffold poles for bank sticks. Hammered into the ground, just in case the carp trys to bolt

@@DavidScobie I have an old set of storm pole outers, so when I need long bank sticks, I take the inner section out of my cygnets and use them in the longer outers. Which saves swapping buzzers round etc. Might be worth seeing if your gardner outers fit the cygnet inners? Just an idea boss 🙂

@@andyobrien5696 some of the places I fish man you need to be brute ignorant and batter the sticks into the ground that's what I have the gardner Twistiks for there's places I need to wade up to chest deep to cast and get past the reeds.
