it's a seasonal playerbase, the owner of the server was fed up with having it being dead so he also added afk alts on top of it to make it seem as they have legit players so the actual players see a falsified number and connect only to stick around thinking there is indeed that many players when there aren't. I say it's seasonal because usually gmod servers like these get somewhat of a population when summer break is around or when there's a holiday break for things like christmas and things of that nature. Then it goes back to being dead again, I also recommend watching the osai video since that hogwarts server in particular had instances of PDF files.
