A friend of mine set up a little wagon booth in a local mall back in the day and sold Furbys and Beanie Babies during the high point of their craze and made sick cash. Parents flocked in droves to get toys for their kids at Xmas.

I had those Robin Hood swords growing up as a kid (they were gold colored) and they were by far the best swords ever, haha. They were strong as hell and they lasted forever during my childhood. Good times.

He had damage to his head & was originally released as "Skinhead". Later, the name had stickers covering that & after that they changed the name on the cards to "Blastface". The Aurora moster kits were great. I dont remember them having so much contraversy. My mom bought me a lot of them didnt bother her to much, as long as it kept us busy and out of her hair..lol I was a kid of the 70s and we played with a lot of strange and dangerous toys.

Talking Venom can still be had for a decent price, even mint on card. I bought one a few years ago, as an adult collector, because I never got to have one as a kid before it disappeared from stores. I definitely remember the controversy at the time.

I had that Iceman, but was unaware that it got fragile with extended cold exposure like that. I only used the frost gimmick once or twice, but never the ice sled outside of the plastic part as a display base. The only downside I was ever aware of was the clear plastic discoloring over the years!

I love your history videos, thank you! I have a huge Furby collection! They are creepy but awesome. Do you remember the Cabbage Patch doll that could 'eat' food and would actually chomp kids fingers? There was also the Barbie that skated and had sparks come out of her skates. I had a toy in the 80s which was similar - a circle on a stick then you pressed a button and it sped up and made sparks. I loved that toy so much but thinking back now it was so dangerous!

Nevertheless, I went to my nearby store and convinced them to sell it to me. I played with the putty and didn't have any problems whatsoever. This happened I believe in 1963.

You forgot to mention the "hair eating" Cabbage Patch Kid xD I remember there was a Cabbage Patch Kid that kids could feed and it had a motorized mouth or something that would pull the food in. Unfortunately some kids with long hair would get their hair caught in the mechanism, which led to a recall. AFAIK at least.

My dad worked for American Greetings when they made Madballs. The only one I still have is Crack Head. It’s unsellable because the top of the head with Crack Head in particular, tended to crack more with the foam drying out over the years.

Speaking of the plastic Robin Hood sword and dagger I remember having one of the original swords from Disney on ice that used to be real hard and rigid plastic that could really pack a punch and would not bend. Years later my cousin bought the same sword on a Disney on ice event and the blade was flimsy plastic that would easily bend and even be easily be detached of its hilt 🥴🤷🏻♂️

I still have the OG Toy Biz Iceman, and he's still in one piece. I guess I didn't utilize the color changing feature enough to break him. 😆

I had that Iceman as a kid no wonder why his arms did eventually fall off due to those crappy pins holding his joints and I never knew about being able to put water in the sled, and lol 😂 did put him in the freezer a few times too because I loved that ice effect, miss that toy. As for that talking venom man count me in, I want to find him on a toy hunt. Keep the videos coming out and man no jokes I can't wait till the attic invaders ride again in your area. I asked Narc in a recent video and trust me by no means was I making fun but do y'all even have attics in Europe or is it more basement based??? Told him it be cool if y'all ran into the bizaro versions of y'all called the basement invaders just a thought and might make new content.

My oldest daughter's mother had a furby. I broke it because the damn thing would randomly squawk/talk throughout the night & I had to get up for work at 0400. I told her to take the batteries out or put it in a closet or something.... she didn't & found it funny that I wasnt able to sleep. Until I threw it as hard as I could at the ground & it broke apart. And finally got some sleep after my ex yelled for a hour.
