A friend of mine set up a little wagon booth in a local mall back in the day and sold Furbys and Beanie Babies during the high point of their craze and made sick cash. Parents flocked in droves to get toys for their kids at Xmas.

Another great video sir- so thank you very much! I don't know if you covered this 1 @ some point, but here we go. While not necessarily banned there was an ape action figure from the movie Congo. He had damage to his head & was originally released as "Skinhead". Later, the name had stickers covering that & after that they changed the name on the cards to "Blastface". I always wonder how things like this & the name you mentioned slip through. Have a great day!

I love your history videos, thank you! I have a huge Furby collection! They are creepy but awesome. Do you remember the Cabbage Patch doll that could 'eat' food and would actually chomp kids fingers? There was also the Barbie that skated and had sparks come out of her skates. I had a toy in the 80s which was similar - a circle on a stick then you pressed a button and it sped up and made sparks. I loved that toy so much but thinking back now it was so dangerous!

I had that venom figure that talks! I had it on my desk next to my phone (land line) and a lightning storm made it say "I want to eat your brain!" I freaked and ran to my parents room lol.

That furbie thing was a spy. As a kid i thought it was haunted cause it moved and acted on its own without any stimulatation, especially at night( day time in china). The thing would turn on and look around. Wouldnt say anything just looked around and freaked me out.

I just bought myself a Furby Boom (the digital type). The big problem is that Furby only works with the app Furby Boom, which only works on IOS. I'm an Android user, and there isn't an Android app 😫💩.

@@EdsRetroGeekOutYup. The app isn't secured at all. That's why Google took the app down.

There were some crazy stories about Furby's. They thought furbys had cameras in Them spying on us from the government. One person said he heard a furby say I Get a gun.😂

I had that Iceman as a kid no wonder why his arms did eventually fall off due to those crappy pins holding his joints and I never knew about being able to put water in the sled, and lol 😂 did put him in the freezer a few times too because I loved that ice effect, miss that toy. As for that talking venom man count me in, I want to find him on a toy hunt. Keep the videos coming out and man no jokes I can't wait till the attic invaders ride again in your area. I asked Narc in a recent video and trust me by no means was I making fun but do y'all even have attics in Europe or is it more basement based??? Told him it be cool if y'all ran into the bizaro versions of y'all called the basement invaders just a thought and might make new content.

My oldest daughter's mother had a furby. I broke it because the damn thing would randomly squawk/talk throughout the night & I had to get up for work at 0400. I told her to take the batteries out or put it in a closet or something.... she didn't & found it funny that I wasnt able to sleep. Until I threw it as hard as I could at the ground & it broke apart. And finally got some sleep after my ex yelled for a hour.
