Banner Lake at Summerset- Iowa State Park Tour (Old Coal Mine?)

It’s very deep over 80 feet in one spot . This was banner pits before they r changed it to summerset . Used too be the only place where u could catch giant bass many bass over 8pounds were common. Had giant catfish also . But with roads added and pressure ruined it it has lots of little fish now .

I had scuba diving lessons there, back in the 90's. Also, last year my Husband & I were almost attacked by a wild man wearing werewolf pants that was stalking us there ! He was following us on one of those walking trails, without us even knowing ! He was barefooted and not even a twig cracked under his feet ! That's how stealthy he was !!!!! True !!!!!!!! Be careful !
