Had a pair of Weasel lads that I put in heavy armor and jokingly gave bows to last night. They surprised me with how far they got. I'd never been to the prince fight before then.

had pack of wolves stuffed with talents to give 20 dmg lane card on banish plus weasel for on demand banish(racial) was pretty hilarious. wolves are pretty strong too and probably my favorite. with blood sacrifice and so many will recovery, almost immortal

I've become convinced that shortbow is bar none the best weapon in the game for any party of three or fewer, just due to all the completely free evades they give you

I was astonished by how brutal the prince fight was... then I found out that playing a solo character and rolling lone wolf by chance is basically just cheat mode. Winning with that felt kinda... cheap.

@@WolfyGameplay Going solo is very feast or famine I find. But if you roll lone wolf, keep your deck around 20-25 cards, and have a way to deal with bleed and/or heal small amounts during fights, there are really only two fights in the game that will give you any problems: Castor and the Prince. I'm also currently on a duo rabbit playthrough focusing on the card Double Team and it's getting absurd.

how to get to prince? I kill the lieutenent but the game ends at the gate opening cut scene

At the start of the game you get a mission from an informant to save his family. If you complete all steps of this quest, after the gate opening it will continue with the prince fight.

well, I won on my first try but the last fight was an absolute slog fest.. lost 4/5 party members and my last dude had 11 HP left

I did a full play through and watched the end video but didn't get the last two fights. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

Did you do all the informant missions on the way? You have to 1. Buy a boat for him, 2. Free his family with 2 prison fights, 3. Open the gates to save his family. Once you've done that and finish the last warden, you unlock the true ending.

You surely can beat the game with the other characters too, but yes, Weasel is currently the easiest way to go for sure.

I used two mouse and one bear. Anticipation armor for easy last boss cheese.
