Just bought a house on some property in Texas (Gulf Coast) and previous owners left one of these behind. Searching the Tube landed me on your channel. I am impressed with you knowledge on the mechanics with machines. Thank you in advance for the series of videos, will help me big time in the near future when I start to see why they left this Vinson behind.

I just picked up one of these and it sounds solid. Engine sounds solid, little drive train backlash and good electrical system. The only issue I have is that while I am riding it starts to sputter and has to be choked to keep running. Loses power and backfires. Sounds like fuel starvation. Could it be the fuel valve diaphragm? Where can I get parts for this? I enjoyed the series on the Vinson 500. Thanks for the videos.

the float in the carb is probably sticking a good carb cleaning should fix that let me know how it goes
