Why does the book say there are 3 o rings that go in with the head gasket?

Not sure if I missed it but you don't mention resetting the cam chain tensioner. I think somone did the same thing on one i just picked up and over streched the cam chain. Best solution is a manual tensioner but if not it should be reset anytime the cam chain is taken lose or it is removed.

I appreciate the great video content. It’s helped me along with my Lakota tip end rebuild. One question I have is about using 3 o-rings on top of the cylinder head gasket. My manual shows this and my rebuild kit came with them. Is this necessary?
@SandSquatchRacing4 жыл бұрын
yes they around the alignment dowels to seal them

Lakota continues to rev after letting off throttle. Cable not sticking and cant figure out why. Eventually it will idle back down but sometimes i have to hit kill switch then turn back on for revs to slow down to idle. Does it worse when hot. Could this be a valve adjustment problem? Has a new carb on it.
@SandSquatchRacing4 жыл бұрын
i would check the carb slide first just double check that its not sticking, then if its good move on to checking valves
@micah88764 жыл бұрын
@@SandSquatchRacing thank you. Messing around with the carb after cleaning and checking 10 times i adjusted the idle down just for shiggles and what do you the problem went away. It wasnt idling high or didnt sound like it was before but after adjusting it down the quad is running like a champ. Still going to check valves as its jot been done since i have owned it. Thanks again for your help! Now if i can just get the front brakes to bleed after removing calipers to clean and replacing the fluid.
