This ATV was Kawasaki's answer to the Yamaha warrior ATV, the predecessor of the Lakota was as he said, "the Mojave 250" which was first entered to compete with the YFM200 blaster and 350 warrior.

I have yet to ride a warrior 350, their production run was so long and I've heard the engine on them is also extremely simple and reliable. Though alot of people say they are top heavy and slow by today's standards and the suspension and handling aren't great. I don't really care I like riding ATVs and I'd like to take one for a spin. On a side note, I really like the styling of some these older ATVs.

@@high5guys701 yeah it's awesome to actually understand the evolutions of the different manufacturers, understanding the lineage and whatnot, it's so expansive. Especially if you get into all the different models that never made it here, or their versions of the same thing. Anything with a motor is fun and I can hardly wait to see what electrical bikes will be able to do!

How tall are you. Can a guy thats 6"1. Ride comfortable on the lakota?
@racerx92235 жыл бұрын
@@mikekjar7608 yes you can, I'm 6 foot 7, depending on how you sit on the bike you can be comfortable on almost any sized ATV. The handlebars will be close to your knees when you turn sharply but you can always get bar risers or handlebars with a higher bend to give more room.
@high5guys7015 жыл бұрын
@@mikekjar7608 I'm 6ft and I fit fine these older ATVs with small cc engines tend to be geared towards adults more than the new ones. That being said, if it was my personal ATV I'd probably get a taller set of handlebars.

Great review, have you done the follow-up yet?

Time to upgrade to a lithium battery and shave off 7-9lbs compared to that brick! I'd suggest Western power sports, I was super happy that it came with different sized adhesive backed foam to help keep it from moving because they are so much smaller!😁

Sounds like the clutch adjuster needs to be adjusted. Definitely sounds like your clutch is out of adjustment

Foot brake. Load the clutch and pull back on the bars when you launch it.

hi. can you tell me how much gear oil you use in a 4 hour drive. mine uses about 100 ml. and I think that's a lot
@high5guys7014 жыл бұрын
It's actually not my ATV. It was borrowed from my friend for the review. Either way, having owned quite a few different quads. I'd say you have a leak that needs addressing.
