Hi Tapui! Why does this flute have two holes? I guess, tuning, but why two instead of one (as most of them have)?

this is a different style of Bansuri, it has an extra hole, so if you cover it with the thigh or the knee you can reach a tone lower, this does not make much difference, you still play it the same way, some people say that the extra hole gives a better balance in the octaves, for me i love both style equally.

I have been learning shinobue (japanese flute), but someday I want to try this ! I wonder why shinobue and bansuri sounds different, I mean the texture. They look so close
