06:20 That CoCo couldn't be casted because of his own Thalia
@connoremmerson91042 жыл бұрын
He also missed the pack tactics trigger on his werewolf pack leader. After casting the second alrunds the other guy could've swung with 2 birds in the air for 2 free damage since he was taking another turn anyway. Everyone makes mistakes, even in tournaments, can't beat ourselves up over everything

Activating Pack leader ability would've been lethal I think

I can't believe nobody noticed the turbo fog guy played 2 lands in the same turn. First one 45:20 and second one 46:02. Although it didn't change the outcome of the game, it could've mattered if he had a fog and gotten another turn.

I mean the other guy played a CoCo with 4 mana and a thalia in play
@claudiorf2 жыл бұрын
4:00 Land tapped with CoCo in hand, he knew about Thalia's rule. 6:24 Cast CoCo with 4 mana, ignoring Thalia. Now with 4 creatures with flying on the opposing table, is it worth forgetting the rule? ...I refuse to believe this wasn't on purpose.
@andeol922 жыл бұрын
Honestly, considering the amount of miss trigger, bad timed trigger, bad plays... I would assume new players over malice

@@andeol92 Perhaps, but it is strange in a certain moment of advantage to know the rule, and disadvantage to forget it.

In the first game, instead of casting CoCo, the human player should've swung with everything. Forcing the opponent to double block the Packleader, which could be pumped, or die from the trample, but even then, another creature would've gotten through for the kill.

That humans player was incredibly slow. Once he realized he was against a turbo fog deck he should have just started attacking immediately and passing. No need to commit more to the board, especially when you see white mana. It's an easy way to get blown out by board wipes.

Just watched game 1 so far and man i feel bad for the player on the left. Almost had the win had he been able to cast more cards or take extra turns. While i hate playing decks like this (because I am bad at playing them), I still find it interesting to watch

First point would be nervosity, second keep yourself calm and thirdly but most importantly is not to give your opponent information, like which card you drew etc. And one last point is muscle memory. But I agree with you some players overdo it.

Yeah it's kind of like when poker players fiddle around with their chips, or someone clicks a pen, etc... just one of those little nervous habits people pick up. Whatever you're holding in your hand, and in this case, it's Magic cards.
