Bantam 19 Spark Ignition Engine - 1940's Vintage Petrol engine

A lovely 1940's Bantam 19 spark ignition engine. In the video we take a look at the engine and then get it running in the test stand. The engine was run on a 3:1 Coleman's White Gas to SAE 50 oil mix.

Thanks Terry, yes, they are lovely engines, a real joy to run. This will be going in a lovely 1930's vintage plane, which will be after the Speedy Bee, which I think/ hope you will like.

never seen one of these before,does that timing lever not move while in use,with vibes etc?

Hi Gary, it will move if not tight enough, there are screw that you tighten to keep it from rotating, trick is to get them where it moves freely to advance and retard the ignition, but they stay put when needed, easy enough when you get used to them.

I have some engines that use a much smaller spark plug from champion that is if from what I see from searches is correct
