I respect how you talk about the history of a brand scent

I've seen a coconut paraffin blend wax, Calmaison #9, reset similarly to that

The ripples in the wax surface are caused by uneven cooling. As it cools, wax recrystallizes and contracts. If it's cooling unevenly, this can cause visible textures, rippling, and sometimes faint stress lines to appear in the candle surface. The fragrance load and type can also influence this to some extent. Soy is more prone to this than paraffin, as a rule, but any wax can do this. It doesn't usually affect performance unless you're seeing holes appearing in the column of the candle, it's just a little unsightly. As for the center cylinder you're seeing, that is likely an artifact of their manufacturing process. Given the sizes that they manufacture, it could be that they insert a cylinder of the same or a slightly slower-melting wax into the vessel to help speed up their cooling times, extend burn times, or to stabilize their wicks with during the pouring process. It could also be a phantom void from the equipment they use for the first pour or two that ultimately becomes visible again during burning. Without seeing their process, I can't tell you for sure. Usually I see these in multi-wicked pillar candles, but they do show up in mass-produced (versus small batch hand-poured) container candles now and again. Hope that helps!

Awesome and insightful review. As someone who doesn’t live near a retailer, videos like this are very helpful.

I had the Max10 size of their Africa scent, which was in a beautiful screen printed vessel similar to that Caravan candle. I loved the scent! It reminded me of Trudon’s Gabriel exactly. What I didn’t like were the wicks. I had a very hard time keeping them lit! It was a struggle and I knew I would never buy another one. I do use the vessel with two or three tea lights in it for ambiance! But not worth the money to me, for the poor burn quality.

I enjoy your candle reviews, I'm not familiar with Baobab candles. That wax melt pattern is very unique.

I have seen these candles in a shop here in Denmark where I live. I like the vessels but I thought the scents was meh and way too overpriced for what they are. And with this video, I am sure I skip the brand. Thank you for the video x

Using the word “disappointed” is incorrect. I liked your videos because you used to review candles that didn’t use paraffin wax. I found amazing candle houses that didn’t use it, recently you’ve not shied away from now going into paraffin. It’s thanks to you I realized I was having an allergic reaction to these candles. So I hope you can see where I’m coming from. Either way I still enjoy your videos and quality of them. Hopefully this is just a momentary influx.

ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!... (Looking). Those Vessels are a work of art. However, not a fan of paraffin candles because of the chemicals used to create it.
