Awesome video. I am just getting into candle-making. My sister bought a new house and I thought it would be lovely to send her some candles. I also thought the process would be as simple as melting wax, adding fragrance and color but have discovered that there’s a whole science behind making the perfect candle. A lot more goes into it than I had originally thought. Your videos have been tremendously helpful in learning about this process so thank you for all the knowledge. Your videos are so helpful.

I would guess it is "Coconut Soleil" pronounced "So- lay". I'd assume it is French for sun. So "Coconut Sun". You pronounced it right at the end! :) This is similar to how I test my fragrances too. I usually don't like the lack of cold throw and hot throw sometimes, but I do think it might be I have "candle nose" where nothing smells strong at all because I'm so used to smelling it out of the bottle or when I'm melting a bunch of wax. Very informative video on the testing process!

I noticed that you don't use a double boiler as many candle makers do, but direct heat. Your hotplate doesn't look like the conventional burner that you find at Wal-mart. What brand is it?

Hi! I am new to your channel and got super excited to make candles!! I was wondering, can you also mix fragrance oils together or is it better to find 1 bottle with a scent that you like. Or mix a pure vanilla with a pure something else to combine and make a scent by yourself? And if that is possible, does it has to be from the same brand? Kind regards, Eveline from the Netherlands :)
