I’ve felt the fire of God before while tarrying with women of God. I believe it’s deep inside but I’ve only had an utterance. I think I’m struggling with unbelief that I’ll receive it, which is why I’m not able to speak in tongues yet.

Abbygail May You can have the gift of tongues by asking God. He can give it to you Himself or He can lead a Spirit-filled believer to lay hands on you that you may receive it. The gift of tongues is available to all believers. The gift of tongues is separate from baptism in the Holy Spirit and separate from water baptism. Although these 3 can occur simultaneously, it can also happen at different times.

Abbygail May not all christians speak in tongues and some believe they do speak in tongues where all it is is bable. Gift of tongues is simply to provide you with a special gift of communication in order that you can glorify God through that gift. It is a know language, not a "prayer language" as some would have you believe.

The moment you give your life to Christ is the moment you receive the Holy Spirit. If you’re already saved, you already have the Holy Spirit in you 🤗 You’re not always gonna “feel” the Holy Spirit’s presence in you. Don’t necessarily expect a “feeling” for confirmation that you have Him. I think there might be a possible flaw in her explanation.

Just 2 weeks ago I was baptized with the Holy Spirit and marked with the seal of God. Now I’ve just been looking for someone to baptize me in water, & what a struggle because I don’t have a church or anyone that I think would be willing to baptize me. I repented for my sins and was saved during these COVID times and came to Jesus at the comfort of my home. But this video was a sign to me from God & has encouraged me to continue seeking and not giving up on finding a way to get baptized by water In Jesus Name.

At 17 years of age this year the lord chose me, he separated me from my families belief and actually taught me through my own lips. Im on the second day of my 3 day fast and as i ask to accept the hold spirit again, as you prayed every pour rose on my body i had so much question on how to fast, and the lord sent me here today. Yes, keep seeking! And like someone said you have the Holy Spirit if you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and out your faith in Him. But keep knocking for the baptism of the Holy Spirit if you have yet to receive that portion

@@marycarmenm6729 The baptism of the Holy Spirit is how a believer recieves the Holy Spirit. It is being filled to overflowing, which is what the Spirit baptism is , in order for the Holy Spirit to remain in the believer. I was aware of the Spirits presence and filled with the Holy Spirit before I ever recieved. You have to pray fervently and continuously for the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Then, when He answers your prayer and does so you must surrender your tongue ( "the body's most unruly member that no man can tame" ) until the Spirit takes control of it and enables you to speak in the spiritual language that the English translation calls " tongues". When this happens then the believer has recieved the Holy Spirit.

Hi, Alyssa I'm sure you don't remember me but we had an interaction at a cafe (won't say where for your sake - not sure if you disclose your location or not) a few months ago where you approached and ate lunch with me after seeing me sitting alone. We struck up a conversation where you ended up asking me about my relationship with God. I rebuffed you as I was not (and am not) a Christian but tried to be as cordial as I could be - probably not nice enough, though... Anyways, you didn't know it at the time but I was going through a really tough period in my life the day you chose to sit next to me, having then-recently quit my job. I was aimless, broke, alone, and feeling particularly down that day. Your kindness and optimization were infectious, though. I mean, you ended the lunch by asking this rude stranger for a hug! It lifted my spirits and gave me a sense of hope I had not experienced in quite some time, even if I didn't show it on the outside. For you to offer so much kindness to me, a man you had never met and expecting nothing in return, was special and I think about our short encounter often. I have recently begun to re-evaluate my relationship with Jesus and with the church. It might take me a while, but there could be a day when I return to the religion of my childhood. If that day comes, I can certainly say that you were the spark, as I now believe it was the Lord telling you to talk with me at that restaurant. Sorry for making this so long-winded. Why are some people in here claiming to be Christians saying that they have not yet received the Holy Spirit? We receive the Holy Spirit when we are saved, he lives within us. The evidence of the Holy Spirit is out fruits. Is how we live, and how much we apply of the word of God, is knowing right from wrong. Just because you can’t speak in tongues doesn’t mean you are a Christian without the Holy Spirit, come on guys that doesn’t make sense you should be ASSURED of your salvation. You should be walking with God. Following Jesus obeying. Speaking in tongues is a gift for some it is a spiritual gift not all of us have, we have different kinds of gifts that God gives us. Every Christian receives the Holy Spirit Jesus leaves him for us as our guide! The POWER of the Holy Spirit meaning we posses the same power perhaps is what she means by being able to do certain powerful things that we can’t otherwise do, a supernatural experience that is different.

They are talking about receiving the BAPTISM of the Holy Spirit, which is what this video is about. I’m not talking about the dwelling of the Holy Spirit inside of you which I explained the difference between in the video. There is a baptism of the Holy Spirit seen all throughout Acts which is what this video is about and I referenced in Scripture. Some evidence of the baptism is speaking in tongues and other gifts.

Hello, thank you for the video. I have had this video saved in my “watch later” playlist for a while now. Finally decided to watch it because I was feeling a little overwhelmed and spiritually stagnant. I got water baptised in 2014, but have seen rededicated my life to Christ multiple times after that. I just couldn’t seem to maintain or grow my relationship with God, and it has been bothering me for a while now. I keep reverting to old habits that I’m not proud of. Although, I didn’t receive the gift of the Holy spirit today, this video has encouraged me to continue to seek it, and seek a more intimate relationship with God. One thing I noticed I l lack especially after watching this video is that Passion. I love God, I want to know Him more and serve Him more, but that Passion I used to have isn’t really there anymore. The gift of tongues is NOT the only evidence of Spirit baptism. In 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, it is written: “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.”

Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is being born again. You are now sealed and liberated from the flesh. Being baptized in fire (Holy Spirit) is the ability to operate in the spiritual gifts, God gives you to operate in. Most of all, it’s the ability to speak in tongues for self edification and prayer.

I believe they are one and the same. When you are baptized with the Holy Spirit you are being baptized with fire. Not hell fire, lol, but the fire of God to go out and boldly be a witness. Read Acts 2

A Chosen Paradox According to 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 & 1 Corinthians 12:27-31, believers can be baptized in the Spirit and prophesy or operate in the other gifts. It’s not necessarily tongues every time. Plus, the gift of tongues can be received by believers at any time through prayer to God and/or the laying of the hands by another Spirit-filled believer. Scripture says tongues isn’t the greatest gift (1 Corinthians 14:5) so I’m not sure why there’s been such an emphasis on it.

Hey, while you were praying, I definitely something powerful in me, and all of this sudden I started crying and I felt something strong powerful inside me and my heart feels so free right now. I didn't speak in tongues though. Can you help me understand? is speaking in tongues the only proof of receiving the holy spirit?

So I’m kind of confused. Are we supposed to be traditionally baptized in water or no? Cuz my own study Bible says that John 3:5 is referring to Ezekiel 36:25-27 rather than being baptized in water. Plus, I’m also thinking about 1 Peter 3:21. Hope you can respond 🤗❤️

Yes! We are definitely supposed to be water baptized for the remission of our sins. Acts 2:38 if you read the book of acts you will see that all the new disciples of Jesus would get baptized and receive the Holy Spirit baptism as well. You can watch my Baptism video more on the water baptism

Can you show where in scripture is says that we must drink water to receive the Holy Spirit within us. I’m sure Ephesians 1:13-14 doesn’t support that, neither does John 3:5-16. I have never heard that in my life and I have been consistently studying the bible for a year and given my life totally to Christ this past year almost 2 even though I “grew up in a Christian home” I have never heard about drinking anything. That cannot be right. Some people don’t even have water. God is so powerful his Holy Spirit doesn’t have to be transmitted through the drinking of water. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Romans 5:5 1 Corinthians 2:12 the Holy Spirit is a gift. We don’t do anything drinking water in an attempt to revive the Holy Spirit that way would be a work and an act of faith. Not all speak in tongues either, and I pray no one feels left out for not speaking in tounges “becusse i am not an eye, I do not belong to the body”, no each one of us serves a different role in the kingdom of God. The hand cannot say to the food I do not need you. Let’s focus on living a Christ like life. Christ never put Emphasis on these things so why are we. That’s just another way to cause division. If Jesus Christ himself commands me to drink water to receive the Holy Spirit then I will. I am sorry if this doesn’t sound loving. I am just passionate for God and I hate division and seeing so many people getting confused now. I believe any time we get confused we should pray about it if it’s still not clear or supported in scripture run from it. God is not the author of Confusion

You are correct, there is not a verse about drinking a glass of water to receive the Holy Spirit. That was a metaphor to explain the two types of baptisms. When we do the water baptism (being submerged under water) that is like drinking water, it is for our soul (what is inside of us).

my dear it doesnt work that way. You can't pray to get the Holy spirit just like that. Sin separates us from God we have to be brought into the light by breaking that wall of sin, repenting of the sins and being born again through baptism which is water. Isaiah 59:1-2 Sin separates us from God. Response of people Acts 2:36-37 Cut to the heart. What shall we do? Once the people believed, what did they do? Acts 2:38-42 repent" (Greek = to turn) baptized" (Greek = to be immersed) Sin forgiven. Therefore, this is the point in time a person is saved. The Holy Spirit was given to each who responded. Therefore, each new disciple received power to live as God commands. Baptism: Romans 6:1-4 Baptism is the sharing (a participation) in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. More than just a symbol.

You recieve the Holy spirit through repenting of your sins and baptism. Baptism means you take part of the buriel death of Jesus and come out the waters resurrect with a new life in Christ. Baptism means you need to be baptised in water. You can't pray to receive the holy spirit it's unbiblical my friend

@@WonderfulActs The Baptism with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2 and 10) is no longer present as it was a prophecy/promise that has been fulfilled. It was never a general command for all Christians. Baptism with water in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins to receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus commanded this baptism (Matthew 28:18-20).
