I think the owner saw The Blues Brothers, where everyone threw glasses at the stage in the bar, hence the plastic cups.

I once played a gig in 98 in Parkersburg, Wv, and there was chicken wire on the stage and it held back the bottles. My mandolin was filled with glass by the end of the 4 hrs. Great memories

I really doubt that since he has been in multiple bands namely Judas Priest.

Wait a minute, 'Ripper'...your name is on the bar but it's 40/60 in favor of somebody else?! Trouble ahead. 🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂ 19:16 - 19:44...Alan, I appreciate your remarks on dishwashers being essential to restaurant and bar kitchens. I've had 2 trainees a while back in a fine dining restaurant I used to work in on a Christmas Eve service...I remember this like clockwork. Those 2 trainees washed exactly one pan each, asked me if they could the restrooms to which I said they need to check with the managers, they get the okay and somehow disappeared from 4:30 to just after 11:30 that night. Turns out they partied the night away at a nearby pizza joint. All the while I'm back there trying to hold the fort both in dishwashing and help with food prep, so you can imagine how pissed I was. I don't get it...dishwashing is one of the easiest jobs you can get but somehow it's taken for granted way too often, it just angers me.

Were they on probation period? I would have fired them right off the bat. A bathroom break at the same time during service should already been a red flag.
@johnathanpatrick61186 ай бұрын
@@BehindtheStickMedia No, they just started and were only there for a few days at the most...and they had the nerve to try and ask for their jobs back once they were fired... 🙄🙄

I had to talk a number of coworkers in the restaurant business off the edge from walking out. I worked as a kitchen steward in a fine dinning establishment whose executive chef was james bear nominated repeatedly. My glass and silverware polishing station was by the employee entrance and where employee drinks were kept. So anyone on the verge of breaking down came by me...and there were days i was the one breaking down. The maitr'd was a former marine drill Sargeant and still acted like it.

Fun Fact: Tim "Ripper" Owens had terrible luck in both the major bands he was in. He joined Judas Priest in 1995 and released two albums with them (Jugulator in 1997, Demolition in 2002) before being unceremoniously fired when the guy he replaced (original singer Rob Halford) decided he wanted back in the band in '03. Then he joined Iced Earth in 2005 and released two albums and an ep and a couple oftracks on a live compilation release (The Glorious Burden in '05, Framing Armageddon: Something Wicked Part 1/The Clouding/Overtures Of The Wicked in '07, Festivals Of The Wicked [Live] in '11 [after he left]) before also being tossed out unceremoniously when their original lead singer Matt Barlow rejoined in 2008. Since then he's done a couple of solo albums that didn't really go anywhere and is currently in KK's Priest having done two albums and tours since 2021. And his stage name "Ripper" comes from his insane 8 octave voice that can range from a faily low baritone too countertennor highs, he's one of the very few people who can outdo king diamond's legendary falsetto.

They stayed open until September 2016, so for just under a year. They closed due to commitments both the owners made to other ventures .
