Yeah and they did this later, but the SMGs in WW2 were a bit weak. The ttk of WW2 was comparable to BO3 and IW - which both had more competitive SMGs. WW2 SMGs weren’t bad (and after the game they added a couple that were better than the PPSh), but not that good overall. SMGs in BO4 were bad though.

Brandon Wilson Just the Sawed Off Double Barrel needs a buff. The Toggle Action is fine. The M30 Drilling might need a buff for regular buckshot, but that's it. It's perfectly fine with incendiary rounds. The Sawed Off sucks no matter what you do to that gun.

4NewHop3 M30 drilling is just so damn inconsistent. I know you gotta aim up on the body. But if they’re point blank in your face and you get a hit marker with a shotgun is so frustrating. Still my first gun to get gold cause I love double barrel shotguns in any game.

Road Hog Yeah, that's the one thing annoying about it. Sometimes you are really far and manage a one shot kill. Other times, you are pointblank or well in the one shot range and get a hitmarker. I hear you. I almost have it Gold as well (need 2 more blood thirsty), but that sure is a problem.

I find that running Infantry with Primed and using QuickDraw, extended mags, reflex sight and either high caliber or advanced rifling it is quite a versatile and effective rifle. I’ll swap it out with the STG but those are the two ARs I like now that FG got nerfed.

Man as much as I liked WW2 it had so many historical inaccuracies it’s gotta be said. In real life the B.A.R (Browning Automatic Rifle) was an LMG. At least WaW got it right, but for me though I actually prefer the B.A.R in battle rifle form as I think it’s more viably effective.

@@protoman2260 Bro the Bar is a 3-4-4 shot. It’s a shot 3 at close range, then 4 from mid to long range. It pays off if you land all your shots and will be one of the most effective weapons. On WW2 the Bar was more effective in a battle rifle form than it was in its LMG form back in WaW. Also, the Grease Gun was a 3 shot, FG42, Lewis etc, but a lot of the added weapons that came later had more 3 shot capabilities than the base weapons.

@@protoman2260 Well before the added SMGs I would say the game was slightly more AR meta, but then it became more SMG meta when the new SMGs arrived. I agree that more 3 shot SMGs should have been in the game since launch though, but at least we did get more in the end right? And as for the Bar, tbh it’s only viable with rapid fire. It’s definitely overrated without it, but the Erma pretty much replaces the need to use a rifle though, as it has no recoil, a big mag, and insane damage output for an SMG, it’s like if the Bar and VMG had a baby and Erma is what you get lol

I do think it is THE try hard sweaty gun that is better than everything else. But I don't think it should be nerfed. Everything else should be buffed. Other guns just feel like water guns in comparison (lewis being the only other gun in the game that can somewhat compete).

I actually doubled checked my Bar class. Optic site, Advanced rifling, and grip. I guess the recoil just works for my play style. I'm an on and off the trigger guy so the recoil really doesn't bother me. 20 rounds is annoying though for sure. I use SMGs a lot more but STG-44, 1941 and BAR work well for me too.

Honestly they need to reduce the randomness of the recoil in my opinion. The volk beats it nearly disregarding the recoil but with it, then the volk wins if the bar player can’t control the recoil. I would not mind the bar having a higher sprint out time as a compromise. Honestly that would have been the best nerf so smgs could get a few shots off or kill before the bar even ADS. Just my ideas though.

Make a video on the Heroic Variants not giving 15% xp but 10%. Also, using the Division Special abilities (supressor, bayonet, bipod, sniper focus, incendiary) cancels out the 10% bonus.

I've played competitive a lot and since the FG nerf the prefered AR seems to really split opinions. Overall I feel like the BAR works as an SMG/AR hybrid pretty well because of its ability to outgun some of the SMGs in close range, FG is better at long range gunfights and lane holding. Overall I'd choose BAR in respawn game modes and FG for search and destroy.

There’s no reason to use the FG42 over the VMG 1927 which bridges the gap between an AR and LMG. It did what the FG42 was supposed to do but better, and as for the BAR which is a battle rifle, yes, I think that’s an accurate assessment as a battle rifle player. The BAR was a 3 shot at close range, and most SMGs were a 4 shot so it makes sense why the BAR could outgun many SMGs, but then the trade off was it had a smaller mag and did require a bit more coordination, but for someone who wants the best of offence and defence, the BAR filled that role the best.

Bar is still the best competitively. Even in that 4 shot range, the only gun that can compete is the STG. The m1941 is too innacurate to land 4 shots consistently before the bar lands 4 shots, the garand and svt are not inconsistent as well, and the fg kills so slow now. Still, I don't like using the STG because it is cheeks up close against anything. You need to keep all engagements at 20 meters or more to have an actual advantage.

The bar is great. Handles great, feels good to shoot. But the bar is my number one gun I have that gets the most hit markers. I'm not a bad player, 95% of the time I have the upperhand on the opposing players, aiming down sights at every corner... it I still get out gunned. Every time. I have more kills with my grenades and my machine pistol than the bar. Side note, I'm really going to miss the Winter Seige event.

@@Cody65The bar was for sure one of the best guns before any new guns were added, but once the Erma Emp was added it easily became the best. It’s an SMG with a 3-4-5 shot kill potential with a 48 round mag with extended mags with zero recoil which is just gnarly for an SMG. The VMG and MG 15 have 50 rounds without extended mags, so the Erma is definitely the best gun. The Volk is the best rifle, and the VMG is the best LMG.

It’s neither, it’s more akin to the SCAR from MW2 cos it’s important to remember that the BAR is actually a battle rifle, not an AR. Same for the SCAR as well, but the KN44 and Man o war weren’t battle rifles, they were just high damaging ARs, more like the AK47. Battle rifles don’t have big magazines.

Why when talk about reloading do you refer to emptying a clip as a "unnecessary animation"? Granted if there's still a bullet in the chamber you don't have to charge the weapon, but if you empty a clip it's completely necessary.

I don't like the high caliber able to 2 shot. Take an example from IW. The volk was a 3 shot kill in its dedicated range even if you put whatever the high caliber was in that game. That seems more fair and balanced than this
