WTH???!! There was NO "Training" SHOWN! What abusive, violent "convincing" things were done to this horse off camera! Better to understand that of COURSE this mare has had unpleasant experiences... Keep in mind pain is perceived individually and that this obviously sensitive mares efforts to communicate her need for more help understanding she needn't be concerned for her safety only escalated with poor responses by her human handlers. It escalated to fight threats after flight option was removed (force) to the point where she resorts to fight threats. When the vet moved away, yup, that trained the mare that THAT was the correct answer. I urge people who arrived at this video to seek out OTHER videos that use non-forceful or violent methods & positive reinforcment!!!

Before you jump to conclusions about how this mare was brought back to trusting the vet you might want to seek out the trainer and ask how he helped her along! The video would have been to long to be the 5 minute info session to encourage owners to fix the situations so the vet stays safe! There is never a time your vet or farrier should be taking a chance in helping your horse!

The video was not a how to, it was designed to encourage the equine owner to resolve the problems before the vet is called to keep the vet safe. By Design it should encourage the owner to seek help from a competent trainer to resolve these issues. If u would like a how to I’d be happy to explain the procedure I took to help the mare out!
