Problem is we might not get to see him within another 10 years if he keeps this pace. The World have seen these situations before. Even my my fellow country weightlifter, former junior/senior WR holder Szymon Kołecki, which resembles Karlos both his records and BW (-94kg in 2000), did not make it till his 30's with such big lifts due to health issues. Karlos is one of a kind, just like Lasha. I hope you're right and I'm wrong, because I'd love to watch them proove the human's limits as well.

To watch while Karlos broke records was incredible. This competition has been amazing to watch. I have a huge amount of respect for the athletes. Seb and Max have been providing some of the best commentary. They even found out one of the female lifters is the daughter of a lifter that used to compete years ago. As someone relatively new to weightlifting the information and insight that Seb and Max provide is well worth the streaming fee. I feel like I'm learning so much from them. This whole experience has been tremendously insightful. And I'm really hoping they'll do the same for the competition in Cuba.

Sadly, the Bulgarian method is built on steroid use from an early age. You get to admire the winners, but to find just one talent like this requires hundreds of sacrificed boys with broken bones, torn muscles, and ligaments. Abadjiev was highly ridiculed for his method during his time here in Bulgaria. Lots of sportists came out testifying against him when they found out the "recovery" pills the coaches gave out were actually steroids, and the sportist who refused to take them were being sent home.

Feeling Karlos was dissapointed Nino didn't compete. Seemed motivated to go against him. Think Nino wanted to compete against him as well. Even in injury, Nino is classy to come out and and watch as if saying "I can't lift but you better hit this since I can't". Two competitors with mutual respect wanting to push each other. Nino definitely the older, mature one. So he comes out to support the younging.

@paulnorman8274 Жыл бұрын
"There are countries that have state sponsored doping that’s covered up lol" A much more interesting question is: Are there countries out there which do not have state sponsored doping that's covered up? WL is still an Olympic sport, though. Wada is not completely impotent, and is miles ahead of any alternative. Not saying athletes falling under Wada can't get away with stuff. But it's very different from complete free-for-all sports which does not fall under Wada. As well as from WL in the 80s, when "nothing" short of hiding a forklift under the lifting suit, could be reliably tested for. There is also the universal rule of diminishing returns to consider: While the dopers will likely always stay a few steps ahead of the testers; the steps themselves give less and less advantage, as more and more of the low hanging fruit have already been utilised and had tests developed for them

At 152-155, you can see Carlos Nasar is injured. Either with Tenis's elbow or a lat problem, he is more robust and faster than we can perceive. However, he is complicated in his training regime and expectations his determination will provide results in the future. The outcome will result in a longer rest time of 3 days to 8 days between workout sessions. There are better results to increase by 8kg to 11kg per quarter or semi.
