Baradul Matches: 9-12 slugfests that last 8 minutes My Matches: 1-12 stomps that last 3 minutes
@Yuiopdude3 жыл бұрын
Hey, don't get discouraged! we're only seeing two games, how many matches do you think he burned through where it was a 1-12 stomp, Or he forgot to hit record, or the match was good but his commentary was boring? A good game is uncommon, but when you get them, they're amazing I, unfortunately, don't play MWO (Enjoy the vids, though), but it's a universal truth among any team based PVP game, especially in a death match format like this
@JainZar13 жыл бұрын
@@Yuiopdude That is also how it is in RL warfare, the first side to take an enemy from the battlefield or make him non-effective has a far larger advantage than seems apparent.

First game was close throughout but I have to say dropping down was a mistake and before I get accused of hindsight, I was thinking it as soon as you started doing it. It's very rarely a good idea to give up high ground advantage and I would put this down to a bit of red mist and not really realising how close the game was. Just because you have friendly mechs alive doesn't mean they are in good condition and able to push or drop into a canyon. So while I can understand your point of view of not being followed up, I also think you made a bad call dropping to begin with. Second game was a massacre and you made the right calls although people didn't listen. However you continued to make the right choice and moved off to the left and found a nice overwatch position. Both good games and exciting to watch. Thanks for the videos :D

I don't disagree with your logic, you're likely right. That said I would've pushed down there myself, lol.

Yeah it's a shame his team felt that him saying "they're in A3" for some reason definitely meant to all jump down there just because he was in the valley himself. It's not like he suggested they do that. They just did it on their own for whatever reason lol. If anything they should have let Baradul keep going to A3 (because who the hell is going to jump down there and fight that Fafnir alone) while they all proceeded via high ground to where the enemy was obviously heading. Baradul comes up the ramp in A3 while they're all fighting and takes advantage of it all. Rest writes itself.
@mattholt13883 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing, specifically because of his torso mounted weapons. If you do not have the pitch angles in an area, you must force the fight to where you DO. This is particularly the case as even he noted that it was likely all skirmishers, who were all able to quickly transition to the high ground, again forcing the pitch angle fight.
@romwyzard82593 жыл бұрын
That first game was a heartbreaker. I was so confident you had it in the bag until just after you dropped into the canyon. Your team was either too hesitant or the other team was just too fast and too much ECM to do anything against. I think it was a combination because your team could have gone after mechs like the sunspider.

Quad RAC2 assaults are underappreciated imo, the ghost heat is really not all that bad. Sleipnir is also very good for this.

Reminds me of a Jagermech build I tried in MW 5 in the instant scenario mode (I often use it to test concepts that would be too difficult or costly to just go with in campaign). I was surprised by just how much work four AC/2s (burst fire version) could do by themselves. Had them on two different fire control groups and was able to keep a near-constant stream of fire going even without uac autocannons. It just ate through ammo like nobody’s business, though. Even with four tons of ammo, I was risking running out after a fairly short mission. Edit to clarify that I used burst fire AC2s.

This really is a great build, one of the first that I ran and built up, and the mech I snagged my Ace in. You just need to watch the heat and possibly have override. Can drop a couple RACs, put to medium lasers, and ride the heat a little closer in the clutch.

Yet again he blames his team for HIS OWN mistakes... he's the one who called for his team to drop into the canyon that got them all surrounded from the high ground. And then claimed they "could have won if only" the rest of his team made up for his bad call... Typical.
@excessmaterial3 жыл бұрын
No, that is not a completely accurate analysis of what happened. Baradul never actually said over comms to drop down there. He dropped down there himself, and drove the enemies off. After they were in A3 he told the team that they were grouped up in A3. You can even see on the mini map that many of the team were still on the high ground and chose of their own decisions to give chase using low ground instead of high. If anything, Baradul's team (multiple people remember, not just one man) failed their slow assault by not watching out for him. They all fell prey to the same skirmishers that Baradul did and didn't consider at all what it's like inside a Fafnir and how little angle it can fire up and down. So no. He didn't actually make a call to go down there. HE went down there himself. They chose of their own volition to do what they did next.
@Passonator113 жыл бұрын
I feel this build is undergunned for an assault mech. You can fit 25% less firepower onto a shadow hawk and have much much more mobility.
