We were just cheezing in the group for a few matches (I was Dangemouse). We warned our team we were a LRM with NARC group and to get locks, don't push too quickly etc... then Bara dropped into comms saying "oh I'm a LRM boat too" hahaha....... talk about a lucky day!

Lrm boat team can be murderous but it can be countered by ecm and mechs covering each other with ams to a degree. No ams and no ecm makes for bad times.

I was just thinking the same thing when Bara said it, gonna need a shower after that one :D The perfect storm in that first game. I've seen this before on your channel and I think I posted about needing a shower on that video. The enemy team seemed to take it in good spirits in that first match. I was laughing at the comment from the person saying their half tonne of ams helped :D Cudos for having a sense of humour in a punishing match :D Second game wasn't quite as unclean but still good to watch. That first round team composition can only really be countered by a full team push all at the same time. So it's pretty much invincible.

Just know when on the battlefield, my presence on whichever side is your fault. I would never play big stompy counterstrike but you make it look so fun and it is fun; quite a lot of fun actually.

I actually use my Blood Asp BAS-Prime(S) for a similar build, but I use 4 LRM 20s backed up by a pair of Heavy Large Lasers. I use it as a mid to long range support unit, but also in a way that can draw enemy fire. Mine also has a stupid huge amount of ammo. Cause you know, being on the back line, survival is easier, but even with all the rack nodes unlocked I still run out of ammo. Which is why I run those Heavy Large Lasers.

Yep, I went similar with my BAS-PRIME. mech.nav-alpha.com/#a2e7a3d0_BAS-PRIME an ERPPC is always nice to have for those mechs running ECM, can really spoil their day.

you need to own the BAS-B, and also the BAS-RA (hero mech).. and to get the hero mech side torso onto your mech, you need to remove them from the said BAS-RA to be able to fit them onto your BAS-B. Fun build.

Why use artemis on a mech that streams the missiles?

It reduces the missile spread if you have LOS on the target so you get much more focused damage.

ATM-6s fit quite nicely as a replacement for an LRM-15. It's doable, but the rate of fire isn't as fast and you'll be doing most of your damage up close--may not jive well with the ERLLs.

You could juggle ATM-12s, but you'd end up on the front line most of the time, so you'd want a TAG. Since lock-on times are important and ATMs work best as direct fire weapons. Although you'd need less ammo overall for that kind of build. Since you either get wrecked fast, or wreck your enemies fast.

YES ! You can do the insane 48 atms build with this mech. Ist even better than the LRM build. You Are basically deleting enemies in 1-2 salvos. Even a noob can get 1k damage with the 48 atm build :D

Game 1 you can blame those two Dragons for making it easy-peasy. They were a team (identical builds). They both had AMS, even Streaks to help whomp the lone spotter (and yes, AMS can kill NARCs). And they went for the base while letting their team die instead in a pair of heavy 'Mechs. Sad.

Well to be fair, that Lurmteam would've probably be slaughtered on Solaris City. Still.. on Polar (and probably on Alpine, too) it looks very very dirty. Shouldn't happen. A smart matchmaker could account for extreme boats and rate them higher on certain maps. Hahaha.. yeah I know.. smart matchmaker.. okok, stop dreaming you say? Probably true. There seem to be NO matchmaker in the first place.

Did a great job , however, most players who boat LRM's don't join the team, and a group of players boating ruin the game, sitting back while others target the enemy, makes for horrible gameplay and it was the main reason given for most players leaving the game after launch

Too excessive... the only time I ever TKed someone on purpose was when he spawn rushed my DCed mech with a piranha in first min of the match before I could reconnect... pretty much the lamest thing you can do in this game... and next game he was on my team... sweet revenge was sweet... when I find out I have a lurming group on my team I usually just leave because I know I won't enjoy the game...

Having been on the receiving end of a game like your first on Polar Highlands - it's terribly unfun and there's literally no counterplay. You catch a coordinated drop full of nova cats and a narc-Raven and there's literally nothing you can do. That map needs to be removed from the game.

I agree, Polar is a terrible map in general. It's way too big, way too open, lacks meaningful cover, and the spawns are atrocious.
