Barbara was a great part of the Late Night NBC show. The mystery voice yelling from backstage. Dave clearly loved her and she eventually made her way on camera. She is a wonderful , unassuming person.

For once, the dreaded YT algorithm suggested something excellent ... big Gaines fan. I know this is :checks calendar: 5 years old but just great. Enjoy her Talk Show on Letterman's YT channel (Dave seems to be the only guest she is able to book - probably one of those publicist things). Just a great person.
