i enjoyed your talk. but i wish to comment on something personal you said…so you want to stay in the country you love? i think you want to stay in the country in which you are doing well and feel in some way that it is perhaps you feel loving you back. thats what you love. and you don’t want to give that up and i don’t blame you. its just interesting to me that with all your study of troubled societies that instead of considering the whole picture the rather superficial things rule. i think that we weren’t told enough about what it was like fleeing europe , being not the children of immigrants but “the immigrants”. perhaps they were being too protective. im not suggesting you pack your bags tonight, just don’t be too damned comfortable. and yank you for your good work that you should not ignore.
