@rvoit Are you old enough to remember? I was young but recall what a HUGE deal it was that a woman was named co-host. I remember the wars to try to take her down, and late night comedians making it a punchline nightly. This woman literally kicked down doors. Before her it was an old man's club. Nothing was "handed to her." She may not have had to financially struggle, but she certainly had to fight tooth and nail for YEARS to even get a shot at asking the tough questions!! What a foolish, untrue comment

Search Barbara and Carnegie Mellon Award photo. She is right there with the others guilty of crimes against humanity/genocide (David Rockefeller, Fauci, Parsons, etc.), whether she was brainwashed/groomed and placed in position or was just another deviant like Hitlary. She didn't "ask tough questions;" she asked questions she was supposed to ask to elicit answers (facts/disinformation/propaganda) the government wanted the public to hear. It is no different than what you see on mainstream media/"news" outlets today with agency pundits/"hosts" pushing their fake news. ALL media is controlled; all platforms were developed by govt; and there is no truth in any of it.

And I am absolutely certain that several male reporters were also inspired by Walters. What she did inspired droves of reporters to start telling stories, and ask hard questions. In some ways, Barbara Walters reminded me of my grandmother, who was the first woman in the state of Oregon to hold a bartender's license in the 1940s, went to business school, and went into real estate, first in sales, then an agent, then a broker with her own business. She said many times while I was growing up, "I just refuse to make less money than a man."

She looked incredible for her age. What a legend. There's something really sad when an iconic figure like her passes away, someone who has been a part of the public consciousness for literally twice as long as I have been alive. I felt similar when Queen Elizabeth passed, a feeling of "Wow, the world really is changing". There will be a day when all of the adults that I knew as a child will be gone.
