One of the greatest interviewers of all time has left the building...this is sad but bittersweet. I will miss those epic interviews she's done over the past 21 years of my life. She's a force to be reckoned with. But overall she's a lady of class and great knowledge. We love you Barbara and we will miss you.

Barbara Walters Z”L , what a Mentsh! A wonderful and full life enjoyed. I have the deepest respect and greatest admiration for this pioneering woman who blazed and significant trail for the women who have, are and will enjoy a career in journalism. What magnificent shoulders to stand upon and monumental values to uphold. Her life must have been an unbelievable adventure at times, particularly meeting the unique and interesting people she did, all of which would pale in comparison to her beloved daughter. A terrific woman indeed, G-d’s speed!

Excellent excellent special. Really serves her legacy well to have such an extremely well crafted 2 hour retrospective that you could tell a lot of care was put into. Garnered all the best stuff from Barbara, her kindness, her intelligence, her humor, her seriousness, her shocking moments. Some of that stuff is still unbelievable when you see it today. As a male student of television, there is no doubting that she is an icon and will forever be missed. She broke down so many barriers and everyone should watch this to get just a taste of her impact. A wonderful woman and truly not many that will be like her.

Thank you for producing this interview. I was her fan since the early time of her career knowing little English and understood American Culture. When the View started, it was fun and see how American women were frustrated with rules placed over them and impacted on family life. Thank you Barbara to lead the way for women to earn equal rights and acceptance as equals partners to men.

The fact she didn't think she was or is beautiful is crazy...she is a gorgeous woman...her younger pictures she reminds me of a young Sally Fields when she played Gidget...oh I hope Barbara Walters is not suffering as some say. Interestingly, at about the same time Barbara became a cohost; I became one of the first FEMALE pharmaceutical representatives for a small NY based Pharmaceutical Company, now one of the largest in the world. I was shocked. I truly had only just heard of this type of profession and took an offer at a job fair in Chicago. Now there are probably more women than men in the profession.
