I'm not a huge Barbara Walters fan, but I do respect her journalism. I enjoyed that she was willing to laugh at herself and invited Cheri Oteri back. You can clearly see Barbara didn't censor Cheri because she played Barbara like she did on SNL. I was disappointed though when she didn't make the 40th anniversary show, because she's always been my favorite SNL actor. Cheri is an underrated comedic actress.

+Randy Kucsan Funny back story, initially when Gilda Radner did Barbara on SNL. Barbara was very offended, especially wen she came in her daughter's room to find her watching it. Upon asking her daughter why she was laughing at it, her daughter said "oh lighten up mummy".

I can certainly understand her being offended. I don't think any of us have the same view of ourselves that the people who view us do. Sometimes it exposes things about ourselves that we never thought were there (it's not always good). Has to be hard when it's in front of millions of people. I'm glad she at least learned to laugh at herself later on in life. I think when you can accept being silly, different, etc ... the embarrassment goes away and you can live life much more free to just be yourself. flaws and all

I love the one skit where Walters lost it when Sarah Michelle Gellar acted like a bimbo & said the wrong thing to Glenn Close,a guest on the show. Walters furiously ordered Gellar to stand in the corner. ''Stand over there!!! Stand over there!!! Quickly!!! Stand over there!!!"" Or another time when Walters menaced Cameron Diaz when she made the mistake of pissing Walters off. "I will DESTROY you!"
