The reason Robert Kardashian was part of the Simpson defense with because he helped dispose of evidence and by being a member of the defense the prosecution couldn't have called him to the stand. That was the only reason. He even had to renew his law license because he hadn't done a case in so many years. Why else would OJ have even wanted Kardashian added as his lawyer when he had all these lawyers working for him who were active, yet he wanted to add another lawyer hadn't done a criminal case in years.

Robert said he would vote not guilty if he were on the jury in the civil trial because of the reasonable doubt. A) "Not guilty" is not a verdict a jury in a civil trial can reach. Either someone is liable or not. B) The standard of proof in a civil trial is not "guilt beyond a reasonable doubt." It's based on a "preponderance of the evidence," which means if you think it's more likely than not that he did it, he should be held liable.
