Wonderful review! And to your guy wanting the fan cap tested, BUY THE FAN CAP!!! TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! with the .7mm, it does a wonderful job with thicker paints. I like thinner paints. 7 can really push it out. If doing a car body, it's easy to get to much laid down on a radius causing poop. With the .5 ONLY needle, the fan cap can cover the entire side of the body evenly. I do use the .7mm needle, primers, glitter etc. But 1/32 / 1/35 wings or 1/24 & 1/16 auto bodies, .5 with fan cap all day long. IMHO. Once again as always my friend, thanks for all you do! I've been with you from the beginning and I'll be here till the end! One day I hope to buy an actual compressor for doing this and get away from the husky, but for now it works and cost me nothing extra. So glad I found your channel and really value your non bias reviews! Thank you so much!

Gaahleri has been hitting it out of the park with all of their releases so I expect nothing less with these new products. I have the Barbatos Rex Swallowtail and it’s probably the best I’ve ever owned. All of my friends that have seen/handled it are really impressed and will probably be customers in the near future.

The new 2024 Harder and Steenbeck (H&S) look to be game changers, continuous improvement coupled with listening to customers etc. Of course there's a price difference, but we know that H&S last well, so offer value for money. Good to see a new company on the market, also that a Chinese firm is going for it, going for innovation and quality/value for money. I've Chinese friends, clever, honourable folk. Downside? The CCP's involvement with most of not all Chinese companies. That has to be an ethical concern re human rights issues, the pandemic etc, arms supplies to "meh Russia". I'm apolitical but we have to consider these things now💔🤔🤔💔✌️💜

Thanks for the detailed response, @@twig4590 . What was wrong with your 0.2? Is it fixable in any regard? It's good of them to offer you a no-questions refund. I am seriously thinking about adding a Creos to my collection; but an airbrush is a want and not a need at this point as I own quite a few brushes already. The Mobius had me interested due to the highly polished cup, the Mac and the cutaway handle; all great aspects to have in a tool. A shame to know that they're not quite there yet.

@knightsljx3 күн бұрын
They're sold out of the 0.5 mm nozzle/needles and micro cup currently, but the best combo is to get the 0.2 mm since it has the air valve, then top up with the larger and micro cup and larger nozzle/needles since they are all compatible. Then you'll get a "ultimate" combo. i.e. - 0.2 mm Airbrush - 0.3mm nozzle + needle + cap - 0.5mm nozzle + needle + cap - 1/3 oz cup - 1 cc cup

Gaahleri themselves have already been asked this question and their answer is: No, they do not recommend swapping needles/nozzles with each other, both airbrushes are specifically designed for their own needle/nozzle size. Personally, I see this as a major disadvantage - but admittedly it is a very clever marketing move.

Thanks for another great video, Robert. Questions: 1) Are we supposed to always flush distilled water through an airbrush after cleaning with acetone? (I thought acetone left to dry inside an airbrush can ruin most o-rings). 2) Are Gaahleri's paint cups interchangeable (i.e. does the larger cup for the 0.3 brush fit the threads on the 0.2 brush, etc.)? Ha, you must've broken their website with this video, Robert, as they are now "experiencing technical difficulties" with their ordering website.

Great products!! I think the reason the paint is atomized so well is those curved groves. They work very similar to a rifles rifling witch puts the spin on the round going down the barrel. Im sure this airbrush does the same thing, it puts a very mineute spin on the paint. That's why it atomize's the paint so well. In the military we had a class about ballistics, an how the spin + distance = a target hit. Quite a bit of mathematics. But lm sure the principal is the same. Aussie Skot.

Wow another great video. I do have a question about thinners and acetone. Is store brand lacquer thinner, acetone and 91-95% isopropyl alcohol ok to use when thinning paints and cleaning? Or should we be using the ones from the paint manufacturer? Is there any special additive packages added to name brand ones? TIA
@NeoPest11 ай бұрын
typically big home improvement store brand ones contain xylene and some have toluene which are not a very safe chemical to use either health wise or because it etches and dissolves plastics, kinda like it does to your lungs. any manufacturer will have a SDS, safety data sheet, which lists the chemicals they use and stay away from ones with xylene or toluene. some specialty formulas from auto parts stores that are sold as premium options are almost as good as the hobby ones for painting plastics but you really need to read the SDS before using to be sure. as far as additives they do add retarders (to slow the drying time and make smoother coats like mr leveling thinner) to premium thinners from both hobbyist and automotive brands however the xylene/toluene is only seen in some home improvement and automotive brands

You’ve done an outstanding job reviewing Gaahleri products as they release and you can tell the company pays attention to customer feedback. Does the trigger feel any different as it looks a bit different?

Would you say the Gaahleri Mobius 0.3 is equal to the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS? Or the Iwata is the better all-arounder? Or maybe the Swallowtail is the best all-around airbrush? What are your thoughts sir?

Hey Reax maybe they have created a narrow passage making a ventury effect. Thus speeding up the air and paint, that's my theory.

Does Vallejo paint come in glossy and metallic colors. If not what do you put on top to make it glossy.
