I hope you all find this handy! Side note/disclaimer: I am aware of the situation between Gaahleri and StudioG. I, along with everyone apart from the aforementioned, do not know all the facts so I have decided not to comment on this situation in the video. I do however encourage everyone to look into the drama and make their own decision before purchasing an airbrush. My video is purely intended to advise on the airbrush itself. I am in no position to stir any drama about the company itself. Regardless of what they've done in the past, people will still buy these airbrushes, so my only wish is that they make the right decision from the standpoint of the airbrush's quality. I hope you all understand :)

If only all youtube videos were like this!!! Totally balanced,nicely paced, and all the points hit. I have the early Ghad 39 when these dropped into the world. Clever marketing, etc. The price to me is more than reasonable, considering you get 2 needles and gaskets. It performs well vs my Neo entry level airbrush, be it not quite as smooth but you adjust. When you think a spare needle is plus £20 and gasket and washers can be £8 to £16 Gaahleri is generous right out the box now add free lubricant and its win/wim espesh for a beginner. If you've never airbrushed before, you can't beat the Ghad 39 model. Like others, i thought I'd advance up the series. The 39 has a spare 0.2 as well as the 0.3, so that's great, but i like this Mobius for its longer internal head design,smooth cup, and thumb grip. Ill see what the important trigger feel is as basically you've sold this airbrush to me. There's always going to be a better airbrush, but a lot of modellers dont have £400+ to spend. Thank you for comparing it to similar models. Theres some deals on at the moment, and they have a UK branch with no postage as of My/June 2024. The mobius has 7one size needle and 2 offerings,the Ghad has both needle sizes. All these options are great. Awesome review as usual. Thank you. Sold!

Gaalheri airbrushes are very good and fine detail lines and very easy to clean. I been airbrushing for 36 years and I really love the Gaalheri airbrushes. They are worth buying and very good to use

I'd agree, they're great tools for what they are. I personally prefer using my harder and steenbeck ABs, but each to their own!

@@ModellingWeekly To be honest H&S and Iwata are for bragging rights mostly. I have a cheaper NeoEco that out of the box is a value that's rare. I painted 4 identical parts and asked a friend which airbrush he thinks I used as the pieces were pristine. He couldn't tell me, but I discovered my $300 H&S was able paint as well as that cheap NeoEco. Might be good paint theory wins the day as I firmly believe Airbrush cost doesn't equate the way we feel it does.

I have Gaahleri GHAC-98D & iwata HP-CS, and I use acrylic paint mostly. It's true that Gaahleri have tip dry problem compare to iwata using the same paint & thinning ratio. Other than that it spray really well. But acrylic paint tends to have tip dry problem, if u r using lacquer paint it shouldn't have much problem on that.

For good reason, it works, it's cheaper and you aren't paying 200 bux extra for a name. I have the eclipse, the infinity and few others in the $50-200 range and this one is the daily driver. Only issue I found was the needle need a polish before using out of the box, a bit oily and collected some dirt and it was on there good too. Bit of Flitz and this thing was off to the races. Air brushes don't cause you to paint better, paint knowledge and good needle maint will. Grab one and see, get the Infinity CR too both are better than the Eclipse. Eclipse is where people fawn over the hype not this brush.

@@animalyze7120 I own five Gaahleri brushes. After some initial testing, and feedback to Gaahleri, they stay in their boxes. The Mobiuses had a major design flaw I found, which I’m fairly certain I was the first one to find, which they later fixed after gaslighting me about it. Regardless, construction quality is cheap, and parts like nozzle orifices aren’t actually round when compared under magnification to other nozzles. The needle chuck insert came with traction grease on it to make up for sloppy machining, and the threads were easy to cross regardless. I found the .3 Mobius actually performed better at fine detail then the .2, which isn’t surprising. In their price range, both the GSI PS-289/270 and H&S Ultra live and are far superior brushes. H&S brushes have their own issues.

Agree. Iwata for the price it's better to get a more upmarket one as if you need to replace a needle at some point can be very expensive. The Gaahleri will come with 2 needles,gaskets and lube on the Ghad 39 entry level. But as you are going up a notch the Ultra will be great. Happy spraying and modelling

I agree with your comment about the trigger. I too find it uncomfortable and sent that comment to Gaahleri. I have yet to see an airbrush, even the $400-500 ones, that would not have tip dry particularly with water based paint. A smoother finish on the needle helps, but do to the nature of some paints , tip dry is unavoidable.
@ModellingWeekly5 ай бұрын
Oh for sure, tip dry will always be there as you say. My observation was that some higher end airbrushes were able to handle it a bit better, however, so manufacturing quality and design definitely factors in.

Some good points indeed. I'm not too familiar with many trigger style airbrushes, so can't speak with much experience, but I do know that gaahleri does a couple of them www.gaahleri.com/products/gaahleri-airbrush-kit-airbrush-gun-ghad-68-dual-action-gravity-feed-set-0-38-0-5mm-needles-1-2-1-4-oz-fluid-cup and I've heard decent reports, so might be worth considering :) (Not an affiliate link btw haha)

Yeah I know a few people who have the ghad-39, and that's pretty much the consensus I've heard. The mobius is better, but still lives in the shadow of its Japanese and German counterparts haha

You just need to learn to use half paint ,half reducer and play with the air pressure. Set the air pressure from 35 or up to 50psi. And always run thinner or reducer in between color changes.

@@JohnLorac TLDR: Studio G scammed fans and customers out of money for kits, paints, ect. broke numerous import laws knowingly, then p much only “apologized” when people kept calling him out where it gets sketchy is his side project “G academy”, which was its own KZbin channel, that had his face plastered in every video was randomly named to “Gaahleri”, and the first major collaboration was with Studio G, the same dude that openly showed how much debt he was in on insta live (if i’m not mistaken) it got so bad that Gaahleri openly stated they were supporting him and going to help him pay off around 60K worth of debt out of the 80K he owed. this was after numerous people started posting negative comments on one of gaahleri’s posts it’s also odd to note how ANYONE can get a gaahleri airbrush for free, my inactive account with 90 followers and like, a 5 month gap of posts got sent one for free. If anyone can get one for free, a $60ish product, how are they making profit? the Studio G drama was only really known in the gunpla building community, and when it came out gaahleri was working with studio G, a lot of known gunpla “influencers” that were sent the airbrush proceeded to throw it out TLDR: Working with a known scammer is not a good look for a company IMO, especially when he isn’t really contributing… minus his “revolutionary” airbrush, iirc the GHAD-68, is pretty much identical to trigger style airbrushes found on amazon, minus the nozzle… lol
