The second I figured out Halsin could be a companion I knew I was gonna dual class him as Moon Druid and Wildheart Barbarian. Thematically being a Wildheart Barb fits him so well.

For people complaining about the two turn bonus action coming online, I found the helmet of grit, basically solves this problem (2 bonus actions of below 50% heath). My hasin is quiet squishy outside of wildshape and it doesn’t take much to get him below 50%

3 thief rouge levels let you rage and wild shape on the same turn, 2 owl besr leaps is a nice bonus as well

I am debating doing a build to throw in 2 bonus actions, for this build I prefer being able to summon the Dryad and the Fallen lover personally

@@NewDengs yeah personally i feel the 2 bonus action build takes too long to come online since you have to level 12 for both thief and barb 3 and by then the games almost over, I usually just go 10 druid for the elementals but Bearbarian is such a fun concept.

I wish the level cap was 13. I'd love a BarBEARian build where you could become a elemental as well.... I also totally agree with you about it taking too long to come together

The main issue is the initiative and setup, a 2 turn setup with low initiative when you have a full team will make the build almost useless. Cool build but 90% of fights will be pretty much over by the time you’ve raged and wild shaped. I really like the idea of wild shaping just needs a few quality of life updates, there’s a lot about it that’s just inconvenient especially as a main character that wild shapes.

Most fights absolutely, but this build comes alive in the harder fights, you could take a different Circle to wildshape as an action, but I think this is a superior build

thief 3 gives a 2nd bonus action. I used Druid 6 / Barb 3 / Rogue 3 to beat my solo honour mode playthrough.

Did you try this exact one thing, but going with the armour of spores and hasting your hole party & then going berserk? pretty powerful supp dmg dealer.

Just some notes for people copying this build for their own play through. 1. Savage attacker only works for “weapon” melee attacks so it will not benefit wild shape unless you did all moon Druid levels to get the elemental wild shapes. 2. you can play as a land Druid to get more spell slots via natural recovery (for outside combat support) and be able to rage (bonus action) and wild shape (action) on the same turn, you do lose lunar mend tho. 3. When wild shaped your STR, DEX, and CON are set to the animal you shaped into so your actual stats don’t matter allowing you to dump them. That way your wisdom for spells can be really high as well as charisma for main character dialogue if you wanted. I’d still take some Dex along with the alert feat so your initiative is good.

Off the top of my head I believe so. I think the only feature that is different is there is no Lunar Mend, instead land druids can replenish spell slots if I remember correctly

Why take Savage Attacker when the whole point is making unarmed attacks? Resilient on Dex or Con would be much better cause it carries over to your wild shapes.

Because you only have so many charges for each one, and I think having some versatility is good personally

@@NewDengs charges refresh on a short rest tho. Plus, if you're dumping strength, you're gonna be missing a lot of attacks in the second half of the game. Better to rely on shillelagh for those very rare occasions where you're gonna be melee attacking out of WS. Weapon master would also be a good choice depending on race. Flail/trident/scimitar for the myrmidons and the fourth proficiency on whatever bow/crossbow you wanna use. I personally went with TB, Resilient:Dex and ASI to get my wis to 20.

3 levels of Barb take away a lot of spells and wildshape HP. Are the benefits from rage really worth it?

Bear heart rage gives you resistance to all damage apart from psychic damage, I’d say it’s 10000% worth it

Additionally, the +1 str from Auntie Ethel, and +2 permanent Str potion are applied to your character as "notable features." As a result they apply to your wild shape forms. Meaning that your Owlbear goes from 20 str to 23 Str -- or 25 Str when using Owlbear rage -- granting bonus to hit and damage with Tavern Brawler. A little disappointed that in your combat demo you didn't use Crushing Flight to knock enemies prone, granting advantage on followup attacks. Nor did you use the Dryad nor Woad's entangle abilities, which you would be immune to with Dryad proximity, potentially hindering the enemy more, and bolstering your own squad significantly. Nor did you use the Dryad's Berries to heal. You left a ton of stuff on the table and really just showed basic attacks...The moon druid can bring a lot more utility to the table in a fight like that :D not a bad video; Just a lot more that could've been showed off. Maybe next time👍

Well the reason is I keep all my guides deliberately simple, I'm very open about making them easy and transparent as there aimed at people who aren't as familiar with 5e or BG3 in general. I could probably make most guides an hour long but I'd rather keep it basic, let everyone enjoy it and hopefully find even more enjoyment from this amazing game
