Another informative video,Great work Andrew. keep them coming. Also good to see what helps you tackle wise irrespective of the manufacturer.

I think it makes very little sense to stick with single manufacturer, if others can offer products which suit angler's needs better. Unless angler works for the manufacturer. 👍 Cheers

Andrew...where do you store your made up hook lengths for barbel when they’re 3-4ft in length?
@AndrewsKnots4 жыл бұрын
I don't have any spares. When I need a new one, I just tie it on the bank. 👌

I use a Gardner Rig Bin. Perfect

Hi Andrew, thanks for the video, really well put together. I’m just wondering if your still loving the Korum River tripod as much as when you did the video. I’ve got a fox horizon rod pod, and whilst it’s a great bit of kit, with all things included it’s very heavy so I’m looking to change. One thing the Horizon set up does have is the power spike bank sticks so once it’s screwed into the mud or even gravel it’s not going anywhere. I notice that the ends of the Korum tripod are fairly standard. Do you have problems digging them into the ground or are they mostly OK? Also, have you ever had the tripod be pulled over if the tripod is just resting on rocks etc? All the best Pete

Thanks. In general this Korum tripod has a very big footprint, so, if set correctly it should never move even on a savage take. Having said that, on a super windy days anything can get blown away, then pushing each leg to the ground helps. Cheers

I just purchashed the Korum River Barbel last week and love the quality of the product. Your review really helped me make the selection and I think it's the right call. However, do you just carry it as is (as it's so light) or do you have a case or shoulder strap you use when transport it to the bank?

Most of the time I attach it to my Sonik rod sleeves. Cheers

Andrew i fish the river wye for the barbel the wye is well known for it's mighty barbel my best so far 14LB 2OZ,i use a korum rucksack which my korum chair attaches to great for roving sessions also i have the korum tripod for my chair and the river tripod great pieces of kit the korum rucksack i use is awesome opens at the front so i can access all my tackle instead of going top to bottom the korum rucksack i have had for about 8 years now 1 thing about korum is fantastic quality i use a korum neo teric quiver rod with an Avon top absolutely a beast of a rod especially for the river wye barbel Andrew you simply must visit the river wye it's an anglers dream best river in the uk it's so tranquil and beautiful i haven't seen a commercial fishery in 10 years I'm not a fan of commercial fishing,fish are stuck in the 1 place and are fished for week in week out all commercial fishing should have a closed season but it's all about money in commercial fishing nothing more,i can't believe people are now paying upto £15 for a days fishing and carp fishing prices for a 24 hour session is outrageous guys I'm not knocking commercial fishing it's just not my type of fishing i won lots of matches on commercial fisheries till i discovered the RIVER WYE pure fishing at it's best,best of luck Andrew keep safe buddy Alien

One day I will visit the Wye. I don't mind commercials or people who fish there BUT given the choice, personally I would fish the river every time. I agree that Korum/Preston/Avid has some clever product designers in their team so they really innovate. Maybe attention to detail could be better BUT that would not change the usability - their products are more than good for fishing. Cheers✌
