Barber Electronics Compact Direct Drive Demo by Bryan Ewald

The Compact Direct Drive contains the tones of the previous incarnation of the DD, high & low gain plus switchable harmonics, for an extremely wide range of British inspired overdrive & distortion. As everything Barber Electronics puts out, all hand made with the highest quality components and workmanship yet still very affordable. At the end I go through several familiar Marshall / Marshall like riffs and dial in the sounds though a very un-marshall like Deluxe Reverb to show how well this thing does it's "thing".

Great demo man! I own two direct drives. I've had the older one in the larger black housing and eventually broke down and got the green one since fit perfectly on my metro 16 board. It amazes me how many guitarists that are gear freaks and don't know about the Direct Drive. One of the best kept secrets in the pedal world IMO.

The direct drive nails that Marshall stack sound. I have an actual Marshall combo. The direct drive into its clean Channel sounds more Marshall than the actual Marshall gain channel.

Love the Direct Drive. It has remained my favorite after trying MANY of the flavor-of-the-month pedals that go for many hundreds

Sounds more like a cranked up amp than a distortion or overdrive pedal. It seems to be the closest I have heard to the tone of the amp but at sane volume levels. Many pedals claim to be able to deliver this but the Direct Drive demo here shows that Barber really knows how to get it done right.

I have Barber Super Sport and Small Fry.Both are great pedals.My frien has Direct Drive.It is also great.Barbers are among the bests in pedal market.

great demo, great playing. I've got both the CDD and the Gain Changer. The CDD sounds great through ANY amp, solid state, whatever. I sold off a lot of my dirt pedals after realizing I couldn't beat the Barber duo. I use the GC for lower gain and the CDD for Marshally thunder. Bargain priced compared to other boutique manufacturers.

For what it is worth I would buy them both; those two pedals replace six of the originals in 1/4 the space. You will like them both, either one and you will be happy.

Blues Harp it’s a PRS Mira. They made them like this in 2007 through around 2012 then started the S2 line and the Mira was redesigned. Still cool, but these “Core” Miras are really special.
