It’s funny because this is exactly what I experienced. Mind you I am a Chinese American who had no clue what Black barbershops were like. So when I randomly walked into one in Champaign IL for the first time, it was quite an experience to find out it was also a place for endless gossip, debate, tall tales, and emotional therapy. I waited for three hours to get a haircut, which was cool because BET was on and my playlist expanded dramatically after that visit. The barber Craig (we called him CC) was a customer at the Panda Express I was working at the time and he was the one that invited me to get a cut. I don't how he got those lines so straight while having a full blown debates with the other people in the shop. I did keep going back afterwards, when I had enough time that is haha.

This made me laugh alot! 😂 I saved so much time & money learning how to cut my hair because of the great examples portrayed in this video. My friend who has past away now, when I was 15 years of age I watched him cut his own hair with a skin fade and parting line in the front of his hair (Them UK 90’s style) and it was like magic watching a Sorcerer perform wizardry. From that point on I dedicated myself to learning to cut my own hair just from watching him. I’m 42 today and I still cut my own hair and beard and I have just started teaching my son how to do his facial hair-and it’s all thanks to man T. Miss you Tyrone 😢
