Love how percussive the instrument sounds here, especially at the end of the piece. I wonder how much of that comes from how closely the clarinet is mic'd? I'm reminded of the minimalist progressions of Steve Reich, and strangely of indigenous Australian didgeroo music in the vocalisations over droning that occur around 2:40. Fantastic

definitely the mics picking up lots of keys clicking. If you like this you should check out Colin Stetson for sure, similar vibe but pushed to the extreme.
