Barbie 65th Anniversary Collector Doll Unboxing! My Thoughts & Opinions!

I got both versions. Barbie and I both turned 65 within a month of each other. I can’t usually afford to splurge like this but Hubby helped for my 65th. I love them both. Just would love a bit better fabric for the dresses. I don’t leave my dolls in box. I need to enjoy them, pose them etc. both my girls look great.

She has a blue tag, blue make up, sapphire earrings and such because it's her sapphire anniversary, hence no pink, however the box is pink on the inside to reference Barbie's pinkness.

This doll is stunning! One detail I noticed in her eyes is that she is showing the side glance which is another homage to the original doll. I own the 40th Anniversary doll and funny enough I found a 40th Anniversary Ken! Who knew?

I recently got the blonde 65th anniversary doll, and also the 35th yr anniversary repro of the original doll!! She's 30 yrs old but I got her in great in box condition off eBay!! So excited!! Love them!!

Fun fact: this closed Millie is a new upgraded version, which makes her slightly different from her collector version from 2015. The biggest difference you can notice is her lips! They have more depth and appear plumper, whereas her 2015 version felt flat around the lips, that’s why she’s much prettier than her old version.

I got the Brooklyn Barbie. Her face and hair color is so pretty. I don’t really like the bottom half of the dress and want to restyle her, but the box is so nice. I can’t seem to bring myself to unbox the doll because she looks so good inbox.😅

I remember my first Barbie. I’m the same age as Barbie but I never as a child liked the original face mold. I preferred Francie and Midge. The Barbie face was too harsh for my taste. Still prefer the new dolls. I had daughters the 80’s and didn’t Love the 80’s and 90’s dolls. I Love the new Barbie Looks dolls. ❤️

It’s a very pretty doll but I’m not crazy about the dress. I don’t like the pattern in the eyes either. However I might still buy as a display doll. As for the silver doll, at first wasn’t that amazed by her until I saw her redressed. I have found that seeing a restyled doll done well, can quickly change my mind about a doll I previously felt was a bit meh.

I feel like I’d like the stripes on the bottoms part more if they were printed to go with the curve of the skirt I don’t enjoy how that are clearly a straight strip pattern on a curved full skirt. In that situation cut a straight full skirt and gather it to a yoke under the printed draped over skirt. Other than that I love her but I gonna get the Brooklyn barbie cuz I’m just really over the Millie face sculpt. I’m screaming for them to faze her out and Odile in as Malabo Barbie I would die if that happened

Nice doll but l prefer the AA version(her hair and face sculpture are gorgeous)but l m not that impressed by the quality. Anyway,she s DEFINITELY of far better quality than most Barbie dolls Mattel has recently produced . And,to me ,she s overpriced.Remember that back in the 90s, Holiday Barbies were 30€! In fact ,we ve been so used to those low quality Barbie dolls that we re happy when Mattel adds fabrics on their dolls ...and drasticaly increases their prices in the process !! The Holiday Line is a good example :gowns are more and more basic and sometimes even include plastic....but prices are ALWAYS increasing...
