@bananachild71393 жыл бұрын
Seriously though, there really was a time where the animators, musicians, voice actors, and writers of these movies all collectively went "well, our budget is tiny, but we are going to make the best quality movie we possibly can out of it". Miss those days. LOTS of movies (not just Barbie ones either) nowadays seem to be completely soulless.

Yes!!! And I need a Broadway musical for Princess and the Pauper! It was Arnie Roth wrote the scores for all the Barbie movies. Also, as much as people like to be sexist and downplay the awesomeness of many of the girly media products out there; chances are there are a lot of dedicated video gamers out there who love Mr. Roth's music as much as we do. He also wrote the scores for classic Final Fantasy games and all the non-Disney music in the Kingdom Hearts series lol.

Ok just imagine: You are a tourist lost in an abandoned castle. You really don't care where you ended up as you travelled to this place alone, looking for peace during your vacation after months of stress with your job in the bustling city of your country. As you are wandering around, you became weirded out with visions of you dancing in a royal ball, being the center of attention due to the flawless movements and graceful steps you and your partner executed. These visions continue to mess up your mind to the point where you thought you were really at the moment. Then walking out of the building, you approached under a big old tree standing in front of a cliff overlooking a sea of clouds in the midst of the setting sun. While appreciating the view, you heard leaves rustling on the ground which made you tense at first, but relaxed as soon as you recognized those light and distinctive footsteps. Turning around, you were met with blue eyes similar to the color of the calm ocean glinting with a hint of playfulness and fondness to the person in front of them, paired with midnight black hair that accentuates their facial features, contrasting the golden sunset gleaming behind you. The two of you stared at each other, letting your emotions do the talking between you. Breaking the comfortable silence you complained, "why are you early?" With a little laugh they replied, "I was excited to meet you again, your highness" "really?" "Yes, and because I do not want to miss you standing in the sunset since you look dashing under it" Forcing down the wild blush that are attempting to spread across your cheeks and the butterflies in your stomach, you answered "cheeky as always, your majesty" After the exchange, they offered their hand to you and you gladly accepted it as the sun continues to disappear in the horizon, it may look weird with only the two of you dancing, but will leave anyone who witness it breathless with your graceful steps and flawless movements, two people dancing in the night, with their eyes reflecting each other and the moonlight, as if it was a painting painted by stars themselves.

You received a book with lily on the front ... the book contains your destiny, you read inside, only to find out that the story in the book is true when you and your 11 sisters all have the same book with each a different flower. You dance on each of the special stones. Then, on the twelfth one, you twirl three times, and a secret door opens. Exactly as the book said. You walk through a glowing light into a magic land, with trees of silver and gold, flowers made of jewels. Across the lake is a golden pavilion. You dance and dance to your heart's content. You want to stay forever but that is not to be. The magic land vanishes after the third night. You were heartbroken until you realize you had brought some magic back with you and it was yours to keep forever.

You hurriedly put on your shoes, "Why do they never wait for me?!" You sighed. Once you finished tying your shoes you started to run towards the garden, moonlight filtering onto your running figure through the windows, the big, empty halls feeling endless the longer you ran to the garden, almost tripping on the stairs when you saw the exit out into the garden. Once you got there you noticed that they were waiting for you, "You took long enough!" Your older sister, Blair said. "My apologies, I had trouble finding my shoes!" You said apologeticlly. "It's alright, I was just teasing you!" She said with a big cheshire cat grin. "Hurry up already! I want to dance!" Your younger sister, Isla complained. "Alright, alright!" Blair said, trying to calm Isla down. Everyone got up, one by one and soon started to dance, there was no music but it still felt as if you could dance forever and ever. You sometimes wondered if you could run away from your royal duties and just dance forever. You were brought back to reality when your older sister, Ashlyn had to take off her shoes because they already got worn through, "What a pity, I was hoping on dancing just a little bit more." Ashlyn said, the hopelessness in her voice visible as she sat on the bench next to the fountain. "It's alright! You can always get new ones!" your youngest sister, Lacey said, trying to cheer her up. "Lacey is right, you can always get new ones. Besides you can still dance without the shoes." You said, trying to cheer her up. Ashlyn smiled at you and Lacey, "Thank you, your words make me feel better, though I'm probably going to head inside because it's getting late." She chuckled and then continued, "You can stay dancing, just don't be out too late." She asked us but it sounded like more of a demand then anything, but you knew it was just because she cared, "You don't have to worry about us Ashlyn, I'll drag them out of the garden if I have too." You said confidently making her chuckle, "I'll hold you to that then." As she smiled warmly at you. As she left you slowly went back to dancing, you almost lost track of time dancing with your sister's but you soon remembered how late it was, "Hey, we should head back now." You yelled to the others, "Already?!" your older sister, Edeline exclaimed, sounding very distraught, "Unfortunately, it's already very late and we do not want to worry anyone if we end up sleeping through the day like last time." Your older sister, Courtney chimed in, already sitting down on the grass, taking off her shoes, "How upsetting!" Your younger sister, Hadley said, hands swinging at her sides in disappointment. You sighed at their childishness but that soon became laughter, "Hey, what are you laughing for?!" Isla exclaimed, slightly irritated at your sudden burst of laughter, "Ah, it's nothing, we should probably head back inside now." You said, trying to change the topic, you hear tangled replies of agreements. You all soon sat down and started to take off your shoes and replace them with the slipper's you grabbed before you left. It was silent but not an awkward type of silence, it was more comforting than anything, being able to dance with your sister's, you loved it and wished it lasted forever, but of course all good fairytale's have an ending. You soon got up once you finished changing your shoes and waited on your sister's, one by one they soon all got up, "Can we dance tomorrow?" Lacey asked hesitantly, "Of course! I don't think any of us would want anything else!" Blair chimed in, which made Lacey smile and jump around giddily. You giggled at this as you all entered into the castle which you all called home. Shame that fate would have it different.
