this was such a gorgeous reaction to such a gorgeous film. BARBIE is gorgeous in every way. the design, the script, the performances, the ideas behind it, the music, the phenomena that is barbie-and it all goes back to the director-greta gerwig! Gerwig and Margot Robbie (by both producing and starring) are crazy wizard miracle workers to have pulled this off with such imagination and flair. I am a 56 year old gay man. I wanted a barbie desperately as child. alas, growing up in the midwest Bible Belt in the early 1970's, it was not going to happen. still, I never dreamed that I would meet barbie all these years later and that she would move me so much. that she could make me laugh so hard, make me cry so hard, have so much to teach me. I never dreamed barbie would thrill me like this film does. your reaction was so wonderful to watch. thank you thank you. I've liked and subscribed. I am a new fan. thanks for posting.

Watch the interviews and the stuff about filming that had a blast. Ken was always an accessory. Watch what Ryan Gosling says about Ken and he found a Ken face down in the mud in his yard. He also built a dream house from his daughters and a few months later he was in one.

This month in the Barbie interviews for the awards season, Ryan Gosling suggests everyone go back to the dance battle scene and just watch Kingsley Ben-Adir (Bob Marley in the new biopic) because he is really piling it on. He is the one who gives him the coat, but first it's like he almost misses a step. He is just so cute. What Ncuti (the new Doctor Who), the guy in yellow says about the filming is great. They all had such a wonderful time.

11:00 I never got this scene. Yes, they look pastel, and people would look at them cos how could you not... but this is LA... and Venice Beach, people wouldn't laugh and point. I think some people would even ask for photos and compliment them.

If you haven't, you should check out the You Tube video from Variety where Margot Robbie and Cilian Murphy discuss their respective films and the prep and work that they each put into it. Margot talks about how the Barbie set was so fun and they would have dance parties and weekly film screenings and how they would pull in people from other sets and other films just to join in that fun. That's how John Cena got a role--he was working on a nearby set and Gerwig put together a little cameo for him.

Great reaction yet again and so little snark :D....I really enjoy watching female reactors watch this as seeing the reactions and comments after the big speech gives me an insight that I don't get from it based on my experiences that I then take and try to be more aware of in day to day interactions with people. Am a little sad that after the "I didn't have any of those, but I did have the Barbie horse" that none of Ken's love of horse scenes got left in the edit, I laughed to myself when you said it that I couldn't wait to see how you reacted to Ken's finding out about horses lol. Also Mandy, can I sit in the front? :D
