Barbie AirBnB has been there for 3 years already. They just did a massive renovation of the place by painting it pink and adding minor details. You can watch this video of Barbie last 3 years ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKrLomqAfJ6gras

As a marketer, must be nice... having unlimited budget to be as creative as possible....

The great thing is, you don’t need a large budget at all. What you can do is collaborate with organizations or groups. These orgs or groups typically have speakers each week and NEED speakers. Volunteer, provide value, and collaborate 🙌

#1 genius markerting strategy : use pyschological bias called mere exposure effect = the more often we see something the more likely we are preffered to, the more exposure your brand in scale the more likely people want to preffered your brand. this can be do on post consistently on social mrdia, collaboration, attending events

Hi Mark, that’s a great insights! But as a professional I see that they started implementing pre-hype strategies around a year before the release of the movie. We can see that using Google Analytics and Social Media listening tools. I see that they used paid advertising in media and via influencers and discourse openings

I agree and great point! One thing I learned that adds to your point is that the Pantone color of the year is Magenta. Was this in collaboration with the movie? Im not 100% but have a good feeling that the movie influenced the color of the year. So that was some pre-hype before the movie.

Made this point on another movie. The marketing of this movie was really smart, it was targeted at the correct audience. It didn’t sell itself as something it wasn’t and people who saw it knew what they were in for. As a 48 year old man, I saw it with my 17 year old daughter and enjoyed it. As I say, I knew what I was in for, it was entertaining and made me laugh. That’s all anyone wants from a film, to be entertained.

I literally just saw the trailer and that's it. Everyone knows about barbie, so those that like it will watch it. There were so many barbie movies out there, this isn't the first.

The choice is yours Mr. Bond. Watch "Oppenheimer" and build your brain then watch "Barbie" and destroy it, or watch "Barbie" and destroy your brain and then watch "Oppenheimer" and try to bring it back! Bwah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

Lots of problems with the Oppenheimer movie : 1- Doesn't acknowledge the scientists from around the world that worked on the atomic bomb before Oppenheimer did. 2- Doesn't cover most of the science used to make the bomb, including problems and dead-ends that had to be overcome. 3- Doesn't mention the scientists that were getting radiation poisoning from working with radioactive materials to make the bomb. 4- Doesn't show the effects of the two atom bombs on the hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians that were killed in their homes or killed walking in the street. 5- Doesn't acknowledge the Japanese civilians who died a slow painful death from radiation poisoning caused by the bombs. These were horrible weapons that killed Japanese civilians in terrible ways. Ignoring the effects of these bombs is criminal. 6- It's a 3 hour movie with close to 2 hours of extremely boring courtroom/office drama. If you check the audience reviews on RT, you will see that people walked out of the theater after the first hour because of how boring the film was. Other people fell asleep in their seats during the movie. I am a Christopher Nolan fan, but I found Oppenheimer to be the worst movie Nolan has made to date. Long, boring, and missing lots of information about the making of the bombs and the horrible effects of their use on Japanese civilians.

It's not "genius", it's literally *just* marketing. They are already working with a well-know, dare I say, ICONIC, brand. They could literally shit, follow the brand guidelines (aka, make the shit pink) and it would sell. The fact that they actually decide to make their job doesn't make it "genius". It's so fucked up how channels/accounts that talk about marketing praise already well-stablished brands for "innovating" and "being genius", when the reality is that most of those brands started with no competition and that's why they became famous in the first place; and now they're able to do whatever, cuz whatever "different" they do will innevitably, get attention. Ugh, this kind of sht bothers me so much. Like, if any other movie did the same things, which they have, they just wouldn't get the same praise, cuz they wouldn't get as much ppl... because they don't have the same name recognition, not to mention... access to the entire industry? If you're going to actually analyze the Barbie movie marketing campaign, at least do it properly. PS: Pin your own comment with the question.

Cocaine Bear implemented this and was successful ☺️ The new Shrek movies don’t perform because the collaborations they had at the beginning don’t exist and that’s an established film. Just spreading some free marketing game to others but appreciate the feedback ☺️ thanks for watching

It's a cynical ploy to get people to go to theaters and not think about the shitty quality of movies the industry serves us.
