I am obsessed with your jacket! I love that Marie Antoinette looking doll. And no, you aren't wrong! That fairy doll is darling! I don't usually go for the newer fairies because they look so cheap. But this one is so cute! And I never thought I'd feel that way about a Millie face and molded on top but I really want her to add to my fantasy dolls! ❤ you! Also, it's been almost 12 years since we lost my dad and there are still times I get the urge to call him and then I remember that i can't. It's a weird feeling. I really enjoyed this upcoming dolls chat! Thanks Arjen. I am so glad to hear you're doing well in a very hard year for you personally. 🏵 Doll-wise we have a lot to look forward to. I am most looking forward to the Tribute to Fashion doll. Though it will probably sell out and I might not be able to get it. That beautiful drawing hints that it might be AMAZING. I love the historical dress inspired dolls as well, the more the merrier. In play line, the new hair-play doll with cat dress looks sweet. It seems to be a continuing of the line that came out this year with the two dresses, one metallic, and one was cat themed. I REALLY liked that doll. But that one had ALL pastel colored hair, so pretty, and these just have streaks. So next years look a little bit more budget cut, and less deluxe than this years. But not too bad as the second dress is silver and I love those style heels with it. And I can tweak/craft the cat dress to make it better. But this years model was definitely better straight out of the box. Also the fairy Barbie, who is definitely bringing back the Fairytopia vibe. With how great she looks in the box, you need two so you can keep one in box. I love the colors and the design of how she's presented in box, so great. And I think you're absolutely right about her body being the same as the fairy Barbie you showed. Looks the same to me. She seems like a throwback, but in all the right ways. 😊 Barbie seems to be coming back, but again, you're right, they're really missing on the plastic jewelry and not getting the Silkstone dress right. It overwhelms that doll because they didn't do the proportions and style like the sketch clearly shows. I don't understand that they could get it so right years ago when we had less good technology. And now they struggle on everything that they used to excel at? Where did all the people with the knowledge go, did they just let them go? Wish I knew the story behind that? I bet you do too. 🍁🍂 Happy Autumn.

Oh absolutely and I’m sure the designers are screaming at the screen sometimes because I feel like their potential is being wasted by Mattel’s budget choices. They cut costs for the production so designers have to compromise.. which must be heartbreaking for them sometimes 🥲 But still this is just a theory.. I’m honestly overwhelmed by the amount of doll releases😱🤣 it’s not just dolls though, I feel like there’s more merchandise than ever before coming, especially collabs. So unless they surprise us with some changes that didn't make it to the promo pictures I don't think I will change my mind. About the silkstone, I can't put my finger on it either, something is off don't know if it is the sleeves or something got lost in the translation with her sculpting, it is hard to say, it could also be proportional ideal Barbie look is askew. I agree the DdLM Ken is a stunner, and I love her faceup. I still can't say if it is the jewelry, I find it not detailed enough missing color pop, or the dress that makes the jewelry look cheap. And the fair utopia Barbie they absolutely nailed it, I think the painting and decor of the molded bodice is what is making her look stunning. I can't wait to see which MtM Body matches. I love the hair play Barbies, can't say which one as of yet.

Sorry about your mom. I lost my dad it hurts. I got that same fairytopia fairy but in pink as a gift when I was 13 from a distant cousin because I had cancer. I love dolls with fantasy hair colors. My fave doll as a kid was hula hair Barbie . I want that new fairy . Ooh I hope she has bend n click knees. I'm excited because my aunt gave me her Francie doll from the 60s and I ordered a ton of clothes for her from Temu and it arrived today.
