Barbie fans do settle for bare minimum. This is the same quality we’ve been getting but in pink shades. They will wake up if they stop using polypropylene, pixelated screenings, cheap bodies and accessories, unbelievably cheap fabrics and make their dolls actually worth the price point they charge. I don’t care if a doll’s outfit is pink if it’s it’s terrible quality, her hair is unmanageable and her face is still a mess. We deserve better! We need to have more self-respect, because Mattel certainly doesn’t respect us!

Since collecting some Integrity dolls, I feel like some of y’all aren’t being realistic. Everything has gone up in price. Mattel offers the best bodies. Their clothing is pretty decent for the price. You guys demand an awful lot for nothing. All the doll manufacturers are dialing back, the economy has been struggling since COVID. They spit out so many dolls in comparison with a variety of body types and varying price ranges. If they reduced the amount of dolls they spit out they might be able to focus on quality… To me they should just increase the doll $2 for dolls marketed to older markets to get it to the quality they know the consumers are expecting.

@@Kharizmah mattel is just cheaping out. MGAs rainbow high and LOLOMG have amazingly high quality clothes and articulation. I started collecting because of mh but i quickly switched to rh because of the better quality

@@ratimge MGA has steadily been reducing the quality of the SH and RH dolls. They used to come with 2 outfits and they all start at $25 with the same face molds which makes them cheaper to produce. Not to mention the rumors of them possibly discontinuing the dolls. That must mean their model isn’t sustainable.

I want them to go back to 90s materials, iridiscent fabrics, they were quite cheap too but they looked so beautiful and fantasycore, glittery organza, golden netting, faux leather and metallic fabrics too... I'm bored of them using the same cheap materials that look like shit.

Hi there! the necklace that the Odile doll is wearing looks like a replica of a necklace owned by Elizabeth Taylor. I also like these Barbie style dolls, especially the Black girl in the matching set. And I'm just so excited that they're giving Barbies PANTS again. Im writing some Barbie inspired doll characters for my Toy Story-esque story, so I've been researching past Barbie fashion packs to inspire their clothes and I realized they stopped making jeans and pants in general for them sometime around the 2010s. Now nearly all the dolls are in either dresses or a top and skirt. Since my story is set in Quebec Canada, that's not gonna cut it for these poor dolls in the winter. I hope this is the first of many to come.

With the Fashionista I think they should keep going, but upgrade the articulation. Keep going strong but give us some movement, even if it’s articulation like a Barbie Extra Doll. I would happily pay a couple more dollars for some movement. I love the variety of faces and styles and body shape,and colors from Fashionista,without the Fashionista brand, none of us would be able to find our own little Mini Me’s.. The petite Barbie Style Deluxe doll with braids has an interesting look and that she is wearing flared pants too! The Deluxe Style doll with the pink one-shoulder 2-piece dress has a glittery prosthetic leg too and that her being articulated should have also been implemented in Fashionista dolls with prosthetic legs! Pink Premiere Odile looks glamorous and adorable! I am torn whether to unbox her or keep her in box in case we already get to have her.

I'm really looking forward to the Style Deluxe dolls, especially the one with the prosthetic. Also want the Fashionista Ken in the romper. I wish the Fashionistas would get articulated bodies and better fashions. Like Barbie Extras, but with fab basics and everyday wear. I think the market is flooded with the cheap dolls. I'd like to see them keep the variety of faces and bodies, but put out half as many dolls that are twice as nice. (Imagine getting slim and broad Kens with Extra articulation!)

I’m not generally a Barbie collector, though the Odile sculpt and the Dream Besties really won me over! I bought both the new Odile Barbies (even got a membership to do so), and I also got the super cute Deluxe Millie. I love her outfit! She’ll be my third non-Odile sculpt (I have fashionista 107 and Looks 21 as well) and my first Millie ever. Barbie is definitely coming back in a huge way!!

Arjen, I forgot to share with your I loved the Mark Ryden doll, but I wanted her to be black. I loved the Toki Doki dolls and I wanted them to be black. I love the Keiichi Taanami, but I want her to be black. So. I MADE MY OWN versions !!! They turned out beautifully!!! I also made my own House of the Dragon Barbie/Ken (Princess Rhaynera, Prince Daemon Targaryeon, Corlys Valeryon and Princess Rhanys Targaryeon). Doll collecting is an expensive hobby as you know. So, I enjoy crafting my own.

They really need to get rid of the Millie sculpt. Also I've noticed they've changed her body for a more "realistic" proportion. Like they use to always say "Barbie isn't a person Barbie is a doll", and I'm noticing her body is shorter, her waist is thicker, and the Millie head is so bulbous with it. I wouldn't mind if they kept it proportioned like other Barbie body types. But Millie is such a bad sculpt they need to bring the quality back to fashion packs

Loving the Deluxe Style dolls, they are literally what I wanted for Fashionista. A more luxury variant but still diverse features like the tall body/prostetics and curvy bodies. However their face paint on the promos look heavily edited in post. So no high hopes for non-pixelated face paint. 🫡

I am currently living for these new dolls especially that Pink Gala Premiere Barbie! I might actually buy one from one of our suppliers and that blonde from the Deluxe for my daughter. lol. I also like the Juan Gabriel. My daughter is going crazy after seeing these new Barbies hahahaha. We're sharing the collection now she's a bit older. PS. Tbh, I am kinda getting tired of the Millie mold and I wish they'd use a different face mold for the blonde Barbie face.

Barbie Deluxe....yes ! Even Millie is a good Millie. I did get the Barbie Juan Odile Mexican doll, cause....its a Brunette Odile. I want the pink blonde, but i just cant yet.

Pink Premiere started my obsession with all things Odile. That's the doll that got me to join the club again. Wouldn't it be nice if Mattel gave Club 59 members who were born in 1959 a free Barbie every year? And my husband was born the same year as Ken, so I should get a free Ken every year, too! One of my oldest Barbie friends and I cannot agree on much of anything. I love curvy girls, he doesn't. I love Made to Move, he hates it. We even disagree about some of the designers. The Space Cowgirl is not my taste but he loves her. He'll be so happy she's the Heroic sculpt and her MtM joints aren't visible. I love that body as it looks so beautiful dressed. We have not yet discussed Odile. The Fashionistas? I don't know if they should stick around. I love the diversity, racial and differing abilities, although Mattel could bring that into the new Basics and/or the Looks. I will probably continue to buy Fashionistas that appeal to me, like the one with vitiligo or the Curvy Black doll. But these are dolls for children, and I'd rather put my dolly dollars into "adult" play line, that is, Basics and/or Looks and collector editions when they appeal to me. The Keiichi Tanaami Barbie is intriguing because I appreciate surrealist art but I really, REALLY wish there was a Salvadore Dali-inspired Barbie. Mattel can make it for me for my next birthday. 😄 See, Arjen? Now I'm only two months behind!

The doll is blonde but I have to have a brunette. Any maybe a gray one, although my favorite stylist does a good job keeping those grays away!

In box, it's B "Day to night" I order separatly theirs plastic accessoires cause those onece was , you know, yellowed by time I am super happy 😊 i already have the studio and always try to complete it the most closely from the origins
