Justin Barbour goes on a long expedition through the woods of Newfoundland, Canada with his dog Saku. There is wildlife, fish and rarely seen wilderness galore. Together the companions explore, challenge themselves and kick back by the fire. The peace, beauty and unpredictability of nature is all around them.
Episode Storylines:
E.1 - The boys get dropped on the fringes of Newfoundland’s 2,895km2 Bay Du Nord Wilderness Reserve. One of the last untamed tracts of wild on the island. They will spend the next two months far from civilization exploring its woods and waterways, but it won’t be easy. The trip begins with big lakes and tricky upriver travel but the rewards of raw natural experiences and tight fishing lines await. The adventure begins!
E.2 - Justin and Saku inch further into the remote heart of the Newfoundland wilderness. Diverse wildlife lurks around each corner. The fish sizzle in the pan but a difficult portage around a dangerous river canyon is also on the menu.
E.3 - The boys are settling into woods life and the expedition continues at an enjoyable pace. They push towards the wild Kaegudeck Lake and beyond. There are unique nature experiences with Caribou, Moose and a Bear. A historically important site is visited. And of course, there’s fish for supper.
E.4: The Bay Du Nord Wilderness continues to impress as Justin and Saku explore some of its least known areas. Blistering summer sun has narrow headwater streams thirsty and the adventurers too. Demanding portages in the heat over treacherous bush and boulders. The work is cut out to reach their desired lake.
E5: Justin and Saku continue to investigate the fascinating Bay Du Nord Wilderness area before beginning their descent to the Atlantic Ocean. They see their first human in 30 days and admire the Middle Ridge Caribou herd who are always nearby.
E6: After many days and nights in Newfoundland’s magical and unforgiving wilderness the 100km downriver trip begins. Many lakes, portages, rapids and waterfalls stand between the boys and their Atlantic Ocean finish. Bellies are getting hungrier and they hope fishing picks up again.

I have loved all your different adventures on You Tube. To all the non-Canadian followers out there Bell Fibe TV is one of the large Canadian cable providers. That means you won’t be able to watch it unless you live in Canada and have Bell. I live in Canada but don’t have Bell. Disappointing but I understand Justin is trying to make a living. Justin - we love your show and have watched them all and some again on KZbin. We tried to get onto the FibeTV (we do not have TV proper) and the cost would require a two year subscription and min of $70/mo - they offer getting all kinds of other channels but the only thing we are interested in is your channel. I'm sad we won't be able to see your next adventures. At least we have the old ones. Enjoy this next career move and hope it brings you what you were looking for.
