Empress if you haven't seen Yentl yet, it's a MUST. In 1983, Barbra became the first woman to write, produce, direct, and star in a major motion picture. It took her 15 years to get it made...and she became the first woman to win a Golden Globe for directing. A distinction she sadly held until just last year. Anyway, it's an EXQUISITE film.

Piece of Sky gives me goosebumps Every. Single. Time. And at 79 years old, Barbara Joan has been singing since at least the age of 13. Her 1963 debut album won 2 Grammys, including Album of the Year. And the woman has never stopped. She has become not just the voice of multiple generations, but undoubtedly THE VOICE of our lifetime. She doesn’t need a superlative like Queen or Diva or Princess or Goddess... just call her Barbra.

Barbra made Yentl as a gift to honor the father she never knew. You can truly see this in every frame and hear it in every note.
