Under Xavi Hernandez in the 2023/24 season, Barça ranked second in La Liga in passes per defensive action with an average of 9.6 and had the highest pressing intensity of 52.89%. So, Flick will urge his players to press their opponents even more!

Tous has already worked at Barcelona in the 2003/04 season. His stay at the Camp Nou was not very long, but extremely effective - Tous introduced an innovative training methodology and reduced player injuries by 40%! This is exactly what Barca need after the 2023/24 season, as they were close to a disastrous one for the giants in terms of injuries!
Thanks to Tous' work, the Blaugrana began to lose their players less often and they also missed fewer days due to injuries and produced longer winning streaks on the pitch!
Julio has many different revolutionary methods of physical and neurobiological training for players. Tous can talk about his training for hours on podcasts! His knowledge is just incredible! He never stops and is always learning new techniques, which he then uses in his work. Curiosity is key for Julio:
“Curiosity for me is the most important skill you must have as a professional. Because if you lose curiosity and are eager to know new things you’re dead!”
Tous' model is based on exercises to increase strength and power, elaborate stretches, and progressive recovery systems.
Tous provides a lot of exercises with simulators and even uses an unusual technique called “Whole body vibrations”. Training using whole-body vibrations creates mechanical vibrations in the players' bodies using platforms, cables and dumbbells.
Tous uses a vibration amplitude of 4 mm and a frequency that goes from 26 Hz (for recovery) to 35 Hz (for strengthening). “These sinusoidal vibrations provoke a fast and short change in muscle length.
This way, an increase in muscle activity is usually observed with values higher than those recorded during voluntary muscular activity. This method may induce improvements in strength and power performance similar to those observed with regular strength training,” Tous writes in his program.

This is a problem that we have not solved for almost a decade now. During Pep's Barca, we got away with it because of the sheer quality of our players like Xavi Iniesta and Busquets who were practically press-proof. But now we don't have that kind of quality. Players lose the ball very easily so we need to be more physical. Moreover players like Pedri, Ansu have suffered a lot of injuries. The alarm bells were ringing for a long time but finally Barca are apparently awake.

Why always barca always overhyped their coach and player. Hansi flick is nowhere near ancelotti in terms of experience and achievement. On the other hand Vini, Jude and now Mbappe is way better talent than any barca player. Comparing with Madrid, citu and Bayern barca is 2nd tier team. Barca is nowhere near madrid. We barca fan wil see that madrid will win 2/3 ucl within next 6/7 year but we will not able to won a single ucl next 10/12 year mark my word.
