On Roque - it was on a player and his agent and not Barca. I believe the kid couldn't crack it mentally. Plus all those comments by his agent didn't help. You don't see Endrick or his environment acting the way Roque and his people did.

The plan should realistically be: 1. young backup for Balde, preferably can play Right back too 2. Sell Frenkie if he doesn’t renew, if he does it’s fine. Whether to get a replacement or not will be up to Flick cause we are already stacked in midfield 3. Backup for Yamal is so crucial, at least a similar profile. Dominantly right sided, left footed, great technically and can progress the ball. Zhegrova from Lille would be perfect as he fits all the categories 4. Somebody who’s fast and technical on the left, not to replace Rapha but compete with him 5. A player who can come in for a 37 yr old Lewy and be as good, i would outright replace Lewy although he’s doing great but there aren’t enough options next summer. The only option at striker is Gyokeres which i respect but he’s not proved yet that he’s a player for the biggest stage, yes he got a hattrick against City but it was 2 penalties and a run in behind and he’s still not shown what he can do FOR a top team AGAINST a top team. I would bring in David as competition for a old Lewy who can’t play every minute anymore and then go for a big striker in 2026 when there’s better options.

Do we need to sign a lb/rb? Rb we have fort who is still developing might not be as good but still. Lb ideally valle stays ik he went on loan for more game time but still. Feel like he woulda played more and even competed with balde considering how much martin is playing. For the fwd i agree we need a striker replacement someone who can have a season to adjust then a winger who can dribble and stay wide. Im hoping we get jonathan david for striker and then nico williams/bryan zaragoza. Both young and still developing. Raphina can play both rw lw and the 10. Fermin 10 and lw. Olmo lw and 10. Promoted dani rodriguez for rw and lw backup as well. Lots of games the more depth the better. Midfields looking great and have a la masia kid promoted for cb like cuenca or someone else after inigo retires

I do kinda think ferran would thrive more as our cf once lewa is gone but then again thats a gamble. My worry about the african players is losing them when they go to the african cup tbh since its during the season and not during a break. Pau victor hasnt looked too bad imo but idk if theyd sell him unless he gave a decent boost like how fermins price went up so much.

I would still buy phonzie because even though balde is really good, phonzie for free is such a big market opportunity and under flick he was the best lb in the world, his pace could be so important for our high line, like walker is for city, davies could be even better Besides, davies ending up at real would trouble us more than trent moving there for me

It's basically a crime to talk about Barca going for left winger next season and not even mentioning Omar Marmoush. He is reportedly a Barca fan, has the most impressive numbers this season, would cost around 50-70 mln euro, can play as a center forward which makes him way batter option than the 2 you are discussing. IMHO with current front 3 healthy and in form Barca cannot afford another top level front player that can only play 1 position, being able to play 2 makes all the difference here.

Brother.. remember performing for a single good season and just going for him blindly isn't gonna work at Barça. What happened with dovbyk, what happened with roque, mudryk, Vlahovic etc etc. they haven't shined per se. So stop recommending us to buy someone based off of just one season. Haaland has been more consistent and would be the best buy. If not we could settle for someone else

@koushikparameswaran1114 1.Haaland is not a feasible option for next season for 2 reasons- Lewandowski staying for next season and his contract not ending till 2 seasons from now. Barca has no money to even dream of buying him out before next season and if Lewandowski is fit and in form shouldn't even if Barca was able to. 2. Multi positionality is key here and Leo, Nico Williams, Haaland and Gyokeres don't met this criterium. 3. They were talking about Leo and Nico Williams for left wing. You're saying Omar has one-off season. How many seasons on a truly top level Nico has had? Not even mentioning that he's never played on the level Omar is playing rn.

@@koushikparameswaran1114 brotha, haaland is not feasible at all, reports are coming city is preparing a big contract for him till 2029. we need to aim for someone like david or sesko. or kvaratskhelia(my preferrable option but his transfer fee is an issue but he is accepting lower wages than nico) maybe david next season, like ven if he flops we can still sell him for some good money.

I agree with Neal on the Leao point. Balde likes to invert into the middle of the pitch rather then overlap. With Leao staying wide that provides the space balde needs to invert towards the middle and create scoring chances like he did his first season under Xavi. I also would not be suprised to see Flick use Raphinha as a false 9 at times when Lewa is rotated because his runs in behind amd his finishing are world class.

Idk about leao, nico has the relationship and friendship with half the squad as it is and him being best friends with Lamine could give the team even more chemistry. Leao also comes off as lazy at times for his team ontop of his attitude issue with manager seems like a worst option imo

Tbh im.hoping we sign jonathan david for our cf. Ik theres some sort of signing bonus since he would come on a free but still avoiding the release clause. Im still hoping for nico williams sinxe he has chemistry with the team already. I also think he would press more. If its leao tho i worry about our defense and press id run lewa leao rapha as the 10 and lamine as our best fwd lineup. Id just prefer someone younger to develop as we havemt had the best history with big signings. Hoping alex valle stays next season to vs balde as the lb ik he left for more gametime. Rb i think we're fine with fort and kounde tbh. I do see one of ferran or ansu going out on loan or being sold next summer, pablo torre sold, either eric or christensen sold as well

We cant study madrid . Trent is very average defensively . We cant only think about attacking . Cancelo was the same problem .great foing forward, not so good defensively. Kounde is more a balanced wingback . Not the greatest in the final 3rd but good enough but very good defensively . Left back ,as dan said is the area we need to stability .

If you watch Liverpool then you would know that this season Trent has changed his game, his defensive work has increased and his attacking output has dropped a bit
