Lamine is the key to breaking down low blocks. His gravity on the pitch forces at least two defenders to mark him at all times the left center back or cdm always has to come over to support the left back. He pulls defenders and opens spaces for everyone else in the attack. Lamine has the ability to carry the ball which all other Barca wingers lack no one on the bench has a similar profile.

For me i feel like flick just got his lineup wrong. You could see fermin just backpassing. I think either raohinha lw or rw and have pau victor on the rw or even olmo. Have fermin as the 10 hes great at those runs and finding space. Pedri as a 10 seems like a waste compared to what he brings as an 8. Casado and pedri is amazing right now' dont break what aint broken. I feel this does prove we do need a typical dribbly winger so someone like nico or dani rodriguez would have been great to see whether its the rw or lw.

I feel the whole back line is currently irreplaceable with Cassado, the output from the front, depends a lot on the efficiency of the backline.

I think the game was lost in the midfield, long balls out of the back but majority of them were into good area but midfielders were unable to control the ball out of the air and sociedad swam to win the second ball. And any time barcas midfield or forwards did control the long ball they had no time to play. Team was too stretched out cbs dropped all the way back to the 18 yard box to help pena play out of pressure and no players checking in to the space left when sociedad press high. Need to print players closer together and move the ball quickly to and find wide spaces to tire the other team. When teams press high they want you to play the ball over the top got to speed up the ball and make them chase the game

He started with a very thin squad, no quality backups - not his fault. He started and still has a high number of injured players - not his fault. He doesn't have a quality RW/LW to rotate Raphinha and Yamal with. Not his fault, the club is broke. And still we are outcompeting every club in La Liga, we broke the Bayern curse, we positioned ourselves in the first 8 in UCL so far, the offensive trident (Lewy, Yamal, Raphinha) had outscored all the others in Europe. Tactics? Show me any other coach in the world who could've achieved more given his starting context!
