Also things Riven does. You can beat hard counters with that champion due to how her kit works and how safe she is. Faker is a superb player, obviously, but I don't think he could have done that on any champion. See his LB into Morgana mid, another hard counter, where he couldn't do anything because of it.

old school irelia was still stronger. She was just tankier and can still do just as much damage. She use to get +80 true damage per auto, and can also semi animation cancel with her skills. She can counter stun to and execute riven with her ult and true damage. She also had inherit tenacity so riven cc isn't as effective. They would build the same, irelia would just have better sustain and can build armor easier without harming her damage. Riven would have to stack hp like a fighter instead of going early damage. That would hurt her damage, while irelia would get away with her true damage.

It depends what you're referring to. If you mean build guides and top plays highlights, maybe not. But if you mean documentary style videos, then yes but I guess I wasnt aware there was even a demand for them - I only know of one other youtuber who seems to do it - so it seems the competition is fairly scarce. Not to say the videos aren't good... just that its not too hard to be the best of a group of 2 or so.

This was super interesting. As someone who came in at the end of season 8, the first worlds I saw didn’t have faker, or SKT. I came to learn about him in season 9 through MSI and worlds but mostly just thought of him as a very good midlaner. Great video as always, and an excellent choice to begin this new series. I wasn't around at this time and never looked too much into it. Somethings always spills out here and there but this video its amazing in explaining exactly why this was an historic moment and as someone already said very clean and cinematic. As a suggestion, what about a video of the big Korean Exode post SSW along with the "no more sisters org" on LCK, you could also talk a bit of Khan, Clid and the others who tried to comeback. I happened to catch Fakers first professional game back in 2013 because he already was talked about for a few months at the time as possibly the new best player, tearing up Korean solo q and I wanted to see what the hype was about. I have seen a lot of rookies hit the stage and seen very mixed results. Seldom a rookie performs to their full potential right away but when Faker got ingame CJ Blaze didn't even know what hit them. His skillshot accuracy was out of this world, certainly Nidalee was broken back then and her spear quite a lot easier to hit but if you compare his performance to any other Nidalee ever you would come to realize that this guy was playing on a level that other pros simply couldn't. A rookie making all the pros looking like noobs and he replicated that from his first game until he won his first world championship. The best in the pro scene needed about 2 years to catch up to his level, he was that far ahead of anyone else.

Faker inspired me to want to play mid back in the day. But I was playing on a laptop and my ping was always insane. Recently I picked up the game again and my computer is much much better but unfortunately I have been having issues with my internet again. I don't know if I will go back to mid, since I have a pretty high win rate on ADC champs and Nami support right now but I will always admire Faker.
