I was at target the other day, and when i went over to look at the kids section for my little sister, she was modeling one of their outfits! I just saw the little board with her on it and i looked at my mom like “OMG i remember i saw a documentary on her!” It was adorable!!

(I have not neurological problems thank god ❤️😇) now I am able to walk run jump swim and do everything a non effected kid would have. I have had a major surgery and other things. I do physical therapy once a week every since my parents found out my diagnosis, but just recently my physical therapist said I can do physical therapy once a month. This is a huge milestone for me. I still have to use my AFO’s (leg braces) and stuff, but I can thank my parents enough. Finley is such an angle and I can’t wait to watch how she grows. I hope this inspires you to never give up. ❤️

Finley shows you that you should push through whatever you are going through and in so inspired by her ❤️ Finley is such a cute little girl that should not have to go through what she is going through. Finley should not have a disease and this disease that she has does not define her for who she is. I love the fact that she is pushing through this disease. My heart just melts when I hear about a family openly welcoming a child with disabilities. Because you never know how this journey is going to effect you and your family . But you know that your child’s disability doesn’t matter . You love that child with every fiber in your body . So however hard it gets you push through. Because love is a powerful things , that when people truly love someone the measures that they take for them is truly pressure. Because I lost my baby sister from Sarabel palsy but while she was here I had never felt loved like that by anyone. Because no matter what that little girl woke up every say with a smile on her face and joy for the adventure that today would bring. And it didn’t matter to my family that people stared and whispered because that little girl was the light in the darkness, the sun came up to kiss her every morning. And for parents and families welcoming children and siblings with disabilities not only is the child extremely lucky and special but the family is lucky to have a little person come into their lives and change the way they look at love forever .

As a person with Cerebral palsy who is now an adult, I find this mildly disturbing. I get the positive points and I am certain this lady is a good mother and Finley is well cared for. The issue I have is just that I found I was able to progress more in physical fitness and in mental ability by my parents not grouping me with other disabled children, or by saying that "in spite of" having cerebral palsy I did this or that... As Finley grows up, there is a huge chance that her appearance will change (in either direction) and if she has mental development issues, she may not be able to emotionally cope with her follower count rising or falling because of that. I really, really hope her parents are being careful about how they are doing this.

I agree, it can go either way. If they're careful not to get too enamored with the popularity and the attention, and make sure that they always consciously keep the focus of their efforts and praise on her being productive, creative, useful, and independent, then she'll be okay. That's the path to a good life for anyone, but with the extra challenges that you clearly know from your own experience, it will probably be especially important here.

YES. I have CP (In middle school so im literally dying in a mental hell) and I understand every point you state. I find this as an issue with most parents, always taking that extra mile to ensure their childs safety, with no thoughts of their child's social and Acedemic needs and wants. We still are people, no need to treat us any different. We get enough attention with our disability, having a whole account of "bless your soul, poor girl, (etc)" is literal mental suicide for people who just want to blend in.

I absolutely adore her she brings a smile to everyone's face and is such a happy and positive kid. Her disability doesn't define who she is as a person but it's what makes her stand out and be the light in a dark room 💕

couldn't imagine giving her up as a child :( just breaks my heart :(

I get that and relate. But what we’ve gotta tell ourselves is that those parents might not have been ready to care for a child with a disability and she ended up with amazing parents ❤️

I can FEEL in my gut the process of mobilizing strength that has gone on, and continues to go on, in this family! The quality of the bonds, the determination to focus on what sustains happiness, what restores it. Tremendous leadership.

Ducky1521 there’s quite a few surgeries and a simple search will bring a couple up. They all have varying degrees of success depending on the person and the severity of their illness. The surgery is usually offered to children once other types of therapies etc have failed, although I don’t believe that anyone has ever been cured from it I know there are fixes to ease the severity. (Not trying to be rude just thought I’d shed some light)

Same I have cerebral palsy but when I was younger I had surgery on my legs and back to remove something I’m unsure what but I’m now ten years old and able to walk with support or a walker mine has a seat on the back and me and my friends laugh because they push me around on it when I’m tired and I do stupid little tricks it’s so funny 😆 and I’m starting to take multiple steps on my own and I’m just about to move up to a comprehensive school and I’ve always been to a normal school plus I learnt to horse ride do gymnastics and football and I do shows in my drama school
